Despite the fact the laptop is crazy fast, it’s slow to bootup, the hard drive is like a huge inertia that has to be overcome before the speed and momentum of the other components can take over.

I just changed mine to a ssd sata3 , the laptop spec now can be fully utilize , 18 sec boot-up(with gadgets rdy) and 8sec of shutting down .

guys , im having dis prob with my lenovo y480 nvdia gt650 spec , any idea b4 i head to warranty department(thou i dont really hope to , its jus troublesome)

it was fine before but lately

when i was playing games which will switched to nvdia display as usual , it jus working fine UNTILL i quit the apps it suppose to switch bac to intel hd and yes it jus switched it fine but my nvdia display was gone , it was like unplugged from my hardware or wadsoever

it wont snap in half way it jus when i try close the program and the moment it switch to intel hd and my nvdia is gone

AND it bac to normal when i restart my pc



so i was thinkin izzit hardware related? or software?
any idea to fix

current nvdia display version is latest whql from nvdia website

, im using y480 and my WEI for windows aero scored 5.1 while gaming scored 7.0 with current 306.97

thou im fine with playing game at 16:9 native resolution (external monitor)

what game did u launch? try right-click the app u wan to run and choose high performance nvdia processor?
