i'm using y580 fhd also, the blu-ray model.... to make recovery disc, just press the button beside the power button. then pick create recovery disc and choose the factory default recovery disc option. for me, it took 4 dvd and near 2 hours tongue.gif
as for your speaker, not sure whether it's problematic or not. try play some other sound and check whether the right speaker still got buzzing sound smile.gif

Whoa. If i make recovery disc from my current state? I mean I haven't install anything yet since my connection over here is very slow and my hard disc is not with me. Still will use up to 4 dvds? Or it's your case only? haha
Die la, means the speaker is my problem only.

Hey guys, what's the time needed for you lappy to boot up? Mine always uses about 50 seconds.
I have a Y580 FHD blu-ray.

Is 50seconds a bit too long? Or it's normal?

Nope, I have tried to use battery to watch FHD movies before and it is smooth.
Maybe you should check your notebook setting?

How do I check? I've already changed to advanced battery setting for performance when battery is on to 100%.
I really don't know what else can I do. Any sifu here can help me out?
