Hi, my Y580 shows 2 display adapters in the device manager, ie Intel Graphics 4000 & Nvidia GTX6600M.

By right, it show only shows one, which is Nvidia

The problem is, I think the laptop is using the Intel, which can be evidenced in dxdiag.

How to solve this? Please help.

QUOTE(sss2sssss @ Sep 9 2012, 01:02 AM)
Our laptop got running NVIDIA Optimus, which is also same as most of the laptop, can allowed to switch between two GPU - iGPU(Intel HD4000) and dGPU(GT650M/GTX660M), so in device menager got show to display adapter...
And at the dxdiag one u don't even bother abt it coz it running at HD graphic only, if u want test ur GPU working correctly, u should try some game

But i do not wish to switch GPU, I want to force Nvidia to play any games even Solitare.. LOL, otherwise, i think its a waste to have a laptop with powerful 660GTX
