Some update here, important notice!!!!

I got my y580 Win8 version, and i just found out it is a "Single Language Version"!!!
This version is just like a Win7 Home Basic, not the Win8 Pro version!!

The worse thing is, this so called Win8 Single Language Version is NOT ENTITLED to upgrade to Win8 Pro version at the promotion price of RM50!!

People who plan to get y580 currently should look for win7 HB version instead of win8 version if you want to get Win8 Pro at RM50!!

I think win7 HB version of y580 will slowly replaced by win8 SL in the market, so those who plan to get a y580, act fast!!

hmm.gif which mean have to take Win 7 then only update manually?

haha...yap2...quite worth it actually..how bout the heat managemnt of y580 compared to g55...i hear people say the fan is quite noisy and the heat is much more greater than g55???
smile.gif

not really actually, the noise is noticeable but can easily cover up by the speaker/headset,
i will said that if g55 having a fan at beside u will feel the hot freaking easily compare to Y580, i can game MOH warfighter in 3-4 hours without any problem at all, i got a lousy cooler and because that night was raining so a bit cool, but hey still in room temp not air con
AND beside, the heat will cool down within few minute smile.gif my personal opinion and experience

which backpack u all using for y580 ?
y580 has a width of 38.5cm
while most of the 15" laptop backpacks have a width around 36-37cm

if you are person like me always need to travel to other places, I purposely bought a larger backpack (Targus) because can fit a lot of stuff inside, for the lappy is more then enough, even if u wanna put 17'' lappy is fit as well,
and my school stuff are all inside, adapter all that smile.gif

mine one is not functioning after I split the "Windows7_OS" partition becomes 3 partitions. But I have found below link for solution. Until now no time to try it yet, I worry something unexpected happen and need time to resolve. U may test it and let me whether it is work.

cant. my laptop comes with 4 partition
Windows, OS, Lenovo (drivers. the sales person say contains driver for 1-click-recovery), and another "Healthy OEM Partition"

im using HB64bit
*
u can refer back to previous post that we discuss about how to make the partition.
simply said is window partition manager can only can create 4 partition, which is the maximum, u hav to either use a 3rd party software to create more partition, or delete the lenovo oneKey app partition and create the partition using window partition manager.
Or, mayb u want a SSD and HDD combo smile.gif
