use SSD la it'll solve the HDD temp issue
it's not wise to put HDD in the middle
the temperature are just too high

hi, i know heat will harm the HDD, but if we put an SSD there, wont the heat harm the SSD too?

I think mSATA much more sxpensive than SSD rite?

Y don't change to SSD since SSD will give much faster than mSATA + HDD

mSATA price (Mushkin):

actually the heat is come from HDD as well... thats y ppl put SSD in the middle and move HDD to ODD port... which is opposite part of the GPU/CPU.

CPU heat + GPU heat + HDD heat -> make the left and middle of the board hot...

CPU heat + GPU heat -> make the same area less hot & HDD heat will heat a bit the board on the right side... smile.gif

yup... thats y topup a bit and change to SSD... If want to use mSATA better get bundling with the notebook... but after checked all notebook price, its either the price for notebook to high (since high-end) or specs of the GPU/CPU is less than Y480...

I prefer CPU & GPU performance rather than the mSATA since I could save money to upgrade SSD straight instead using mSATA.. smile.gif

I using the modified 305.53 driver which is dev version, so far I see it does improve the performance.....

using 304.79 now. Dont really see the effects of optimus, as i have the GC widget i still see the Nvidia card running instead of HD4000 rclxub.gif The experience is not as seamless as i thought hmm.gif

QUOTE(cslance @ Aug 14 2012, 01:20 AM)
that you can set the setting in nvdia very easily. just right click and enter nvdia setting set the default graphic card for your particular game is nvdia instead of intel
*
The thing is the dedicated graphic card is already running no matter what i do, even when in idle. From what i read there is no direct way of manually switching the GC's doh.gif

the 304.79 is forcing NVIDIA GPU running with HD4000
305.53 seems like solve that bug....
although Performance Information and Tools still cannot use NVIDIA GPU for rendering the Gaming Graphic...lol
