1 to 1 exchange is only useful upon the service center or distributor have stand by stock.

I waited for more than 2 weeks for my replacement cos distributor out of stock.

engineers dont fix ur laptop la, they design it.. those at service centre are just technicians la...

did you check whether those problematic y580 is from which variation? since somehow i have a feeling that many problem got on the no bluray variation

Lol, since my 1st laptop till the Lenovo Y580 which is my third notebook. All notebook that I have chosen are famous for being problematic notebook.

By usually the service is fantastic la.

Btw, my fren who also used Y580, but it appears that he is unable to get the bluetooth driver install ler. In factory setting, everything is working fine. But after format cannot get the bluetooth install.
- Have tried to reformat and install
- Have tried with multiple different driver
- Have tried to toggle the bluetooth in the wireless panel then install
- Have tried with windows update then install
Above all solution tested but still failed, any ideas and advise?

Y580 user here... Just bought the laptop for a week... Just one problem and a BIG one... It seems that every game I play for a while gets stuck and then i have to force shut down by holding the power button... What is the problem?? I tried rolling back drivers but no luck

been using this utility before to clean up the dust. this utility will spin up the fan to highest speed to clean up the dust that might clogged at the fan/heatsink fins.

Coz only Malaysia got two years warranty, but by default they set to one year

Hi, Lenovo, I'm Mr XXX from Malaysia, I bought a Lenovo Y480 from XXX and after I register the warranty online, it display the information incorrectly
(*if mismatch location)1) Mismatch Location, it should be Malaysia not XXX
2) Warranty period mismatch, it should be 2 years not one years
I hope the problem can be settle as soon as possible since it already mismatch for a long time and still not correct them, hope that will see my email and reply me

Isn't the Power port of Y580 next to point 11?

I have sent an email, but with no response. Then with another email threaten them to bring this issue to the net, then only I received a call informing me that my warranty had revised to 2 years.

And I finally sent my note book for service on the 23rd.

But unfortunately until today, I didn't receive any feedback from them. Calling to their service centers (very difficult to get through) after wasted 10 ~ 20 calls then only they will pickup my call and inform me that I have to wait for another week, because there is NO spare parts.

This is very dissapointing for taking so long to fix an item that is still under warranty (my item is only 2 months old). Please think twice if you wish to buy Lenovo for any serious work.

Besides, I have a feeling that all my good parts will be swapped when receiving it back (luckily I have snap a photo of all the serial numbers).

I believe I am not the only bad luck guy.

If service center takes more than 10 days to service my machine, it will certainly takes the same amount of time to service others.

I will have to give them a call again today. Otherwise nothing will happen

Hmm.. May I suggest you to make some noise and complaint to Lenovo so they are aware of the situation and may improve to serve better?
