i heard that we are looking into Milos Krasic, i think he is a good player but why he got bad treatment in Juventus now? i thought he played well?
*
In the beginning yes, but his form suffered midway thru his 1st year. Then Conte comes in, who favours tactical & organization nous rather than flair & skills, especially he's been part of Italian/Juve set up for years, which favours defence.
Krasic is sort of luxury players like Kewell who dont exactly help out in defending.

thinking bout going to melwood and have a peek at the team doing training..anyone done this b4 ?

U cant go in Melwood as its restricted. Unless u are lucky & happens to chance into some exec staffs that would like to take advantage of the fact you are asian tourist, then you may have a chance to go in. Otherwise its just looking in from outside.

if we're getting Asian players, its probably to entice the Asian supporters. (standard chartered did pressure our club last season, can anyobody remember that?)
*
if we're getting any, pls let it be someone that can contribute on the pitch. Dun be like RM last time, signed Shunsuke Nakamura but think he din even seen Bernabeu stadia doh.gif

QUOTE(leaF @ Jul 11 2012, 05:56 PM)
liv manu 22nd september? thomas cook are selling it for 150pounds include hotel..good deal imo considering how fast the ticket can be sold out on that match
would be happy enough to have a peek on their training session..might be waiting on the gate and have a closer look on the players and manager would be enough  smile.gif
*
As far as I know, u need to climb something in order to peek in sweat.gif
on the other hand, gather info on their training time so with some luck can see them in coach going to/fro Melwood.
Better off, if u go anfield if wanna see players cos the players drives to Anfield & take coach to Melwood unless u wanna see how Melwood looks like la.

She's a porn star wei. It doesn't get much better than that. Rumour has it that Giggs told him he'd treat him like a brother, get it?

The interest in Dempsey makes sense. When Hodgson signed on, I was hoping he'd bring Dempsey along. Instead he brought with him a very mediocre Paul Konchesky. Mentioned much earlier that Gerrard should play deeper with Aquilani being the tip of our midfield fulcrum. Over a season ago, there were rumours we were interested in Tim Cahill but I hate that ****, so Dempsey appears a decent signing considering the number of goals he scored from midfield last season, and the number of goals we didn't score from that department. I am looking forward to seeing him in our colours next season. Thing is Aquilani's agent has tipped him to stay so who it's questionable how likely we are to sign Dempsey since Fulham are trying to use him as a bargaining chip to sign Carroll.
*
Thats fast for Giggs to make his move laugh.gif

Me also thinks that Aquilani wont be staying on. His agent will seemingly hard press to find a team in Italy for him. For its quite well known he's home sick or rather yearning to play in Italy.

It's everywhere lah. Now that the news about she's dating Kagawa Shinji is out, she's getting more and more attention lol....
PS: She's not bad but there's a lot better. sweat.gif
Well, not that I'm a JAV addict or something like that tongue.gif
*
Bet she's getting attention from Shrek as well laugh.gif
Maybe there'll be a 3 way play AV made-in-England featuring Shrek/Oldman/Kagawa GF biggrin.gif laugh.gif
She looks kinda like mixed tho.
ya, me not a JAV addict either tongue.gif

On another note, I'm highly skeptical abt Borini. For me there's 2 ways to look at it, if he's so good, why ski dont offer him new contract. If he rejected, then it brings another question, does he want to go back to Italy? then whats the point in bringing him back to England as we may get another Aquilani case. IMO Italians seldom thrives outside their on league.

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Jul 13 2012, 10:36 AM)
There are other ways of looking at this

Ski has so many BIG names strikers, they have no confidence is some young hotshot.
They had Drog, Anelka,Kalou, Sturridge, Lukaku, now Hazard..looking at Schurrle
They are always out for BIG names.....Romans' ego demands that.
So for young strikers gonna be difficult.

Hes 21 now, no longer 17. Hes been in UK with BR, TWICE.
BR will know him well. BR will already have spoken to him about this.
So hes no Aqua case.
*
Well lets just say that if he's ability is apparent, then they wouldn't let him off for free no matter how many world stars romans wooing. At the very least they will sell him for profits.

QUOTE(PPZ @ Jul 13 2012, 02:31 PM)
why he should sell out #14? he is young and talented. look at how he performed for sunderland before he moved to liverpool. the reason last season he not performing is because KK played him in the wrong position. there are some games which he played quite well when KK put him in the middle of the field. I wouldnt sell #14 and Carroll if i am BR. We havent start the season yet and you are saying that BR couldnt bring us to the top flight again? How little faith you have bro!

Oh? Italian player normally wont stay long in BPL? Zola anyone?
*
Zola? how about di Canio, Vialli, Mancini, Ravanelli? How many of these that succeeds overseas compared to those homesick/flop?
For every Zola, theres 10 times as more that dont make it. I'm not against Borini but I'm skeptical.

sign Joe Allen, Theo Walcott and Clint Dempsey, while Andy Carroll stay.

Alberto Aquilani, Craig Bellamy, Jay Spearing can all go.

then i guess we are good to close the business and get ready for the new season.
*
Prob is nobody wants Aqua & Spearo. Even there're teams want them, doubt it'll fetch any fees if at all. Rather them stay to increase squad depth unless they became disruptive influence.

i dont know why people want bellamy to go.  sweat.gif
*
Bell wants to end his career in his hometown club I think. Other than that dont see any reason for him to go. His directness & pace pawned most in the squad.

It ain't illegal. Just a bit 'clever' to take advantage of loophole that exist.
its a very grey area, really. Who's to say that those figures above market rate ain't market rate?

Have Le Talleac and Sinama Pongole been given the chances like Downing and Henderson when we were under KD, i believe they would have made the mark with us..........
*
If u really following Reds those times, you'll find that they did. Even in small teams now in which competition for places are not as tough, they still struggle to command first team place. Not exactly making waves, are they?

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Jul 31 2012, 05:13 PM)
Actually Le Tallec and Pongolle were given first team opportunities. I remember the former being distinctively average and the latter played well in patches. Pongolle had good pace but that was about it. The fact that neither have made significant waves since leaving suggests we were right to release them.
*
Not to mention Le Tallec attitude is kinda arrogant & demands first team spot without ever proving himself doh.gif

4-2-3-1 / 4-5-1 / 4-2-1-3 / whatever.
so allen and someone else in middle as holding midfielders ala alonso / masch.
then gerrard in the hole behind suarez, with borini and someone else on the wings.
*
its great if its true...at least CL every yr bar the last. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Petre @ Aug 13 2012, 04:57 PM)
sterling definitely needs to have some game time. if a player have strong mentality, petty things wont kill them, it makes them stronger. good players thrive under pressure, average players just sink. from what i've seen so far, sterling does have the right mentality to become much bigger. i'd tell him just go out and play, enjoy and torture the fullback as much as you like. but dont bother with the expectations and just play your own game, i have confidence in you...

am i too simple minded or is this 'young player' issue always over played?
*

QUOTE(madmoz @ Aug 14 2012, 10:45 AM)
Well, when Henderson joined he was known for being a neat tidy central midfield passer.
Adam on the other hand was supposedly a 'long pass' and set piece specialist.

Aside from obvious age advantage, Henderson looks to be a better fit for BR's system.
And personally, I still think that Lucas & Henderson will make one hell of a good midfield pairing - pass and move galore!
*
Ditto, take out long pass & set pieces out of Adam, & he's not even a championship player.
Its obvious last season, KD bought Adam to do just that but he never got going

QUOTE(Yuka Yuka @ Aug 16 2012, 03:04 PM)
you don't understand.

look at FSG's tenure with the Red Sox. Much like Liverpool's prior condition, they adopted the exact same strategy that they're using now with Liverpool, and look where it got Red Sox. Successful, competent, profitable.

Henry said there is no specific Top 4 target this season, not being able to win trophies in these few years mean jackshit to him. What FSG wants to see is team chemistry and club stability in the near future, presumably 3~5 years from now. Hence you can see all the bids for 20 to 22 year olds
*
for the past couple of seasons, the Red Sox are like us, underachieving. Currently they're facing player's rebel against their manager.
Heard troubles' been brewing for a few seasons even when they're winning the World Series but just like the UCL 2005 papered the cracks for us, its the same thing for them.
It's arguable the FSG have probs with the management of the Red Sox now.
