The interest in Dempsey makes sense. When Hodgson signed on, I was hoping he'd bring Dempsey along. Instead he brought with him a very mediocre Paul Konchesky. Mentioned much earlier that Gerrard should play deeper with Aquilani being the tip of our midfield fulcrum. Over a season ago, there were rumours we were interested in Tim Cahill but I hate that ****, so Dempsey appears a decent signing considering the number of goals he scored from midfield last season, and the number of goals we didn't score from that department. I am looking forward to seeing him in our colours next season. Thing is Aquilani's agent has tipped him to stay so who it's questionable how likely we are to sign Dempsey since Fulham are trying to use him as a bargaining chip to sign Carroll.

why he should sell out #14? he is young and talented. look at how he performed for sunderland before he moved to liverpool. the reason last season he not performing is because KK played him in the wrong position. there are some games which he played quite well when KK put him in the middle of the field. Actually Le Tallec and Pongolle were given first team opportunities. I remember the former being distinctively average and the latter played well in patches. Pongolle had good pace but that was about it. The fact that neither have made significant waves since leaving suggests we were right to release them.

sterling definitely needs to have some game time. if a player have strong mentality, petty things wont kill them, it makes them stronger. good players thrive under pressure, average players just sink. from what i've seen so far, sterling does have the right mentality to become much bigger. i'd tell him just go out and play, enjoy and torture the fullback as much as you like. but dont bother with the expectations and just play your own game, i have confidence in you...

Well, when Henderson joined he was known for being a neat tidy central midfield passer.
Adam on the other hand was supposedly a 'long pass' and set piece specialist.

Aside from obvious age advantage, Henderson looks to be a better fit for BR's system.
And personally, I still think that Lucas & Henderson will make one hell of a good midfield pairing - pass and move galore!
