SauceMarch 31 2010 QUOTE The Stimulus Package launched yesterday on the Xbox 360, offering gamers five additional Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 maps for $15. Not to be outdone, DICE released VIP 2, its own free map upgrades for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and claimed it will never charge fans for new maps.
DICE Senior Producer Patrick Bach made the claim in an interview with Xbox World 360 magazine. "We don't ever want to charge for our maps and insisted to EA that this attitude was crucial when it came to keeping our community happy and playing together," Bach said. "We're owned by EA but we're still very much DICE." E3 - June 4 2012 Fifty dollahs

basically these things cost a tonne of money to develop. you basically have 16 maps, several weapons and vehicles coming soon, which is like a new copy of a game already. i would understand why they are charging it. sometimes, these devs are working overtime just to get it out on time and by not paying for their work is like "i am just going take your veggies that would worked so hard on growing".

Wow this premium so cheap~ I just bought the bf3 for rm100 in mid May and if i want to enjoy this new map, I cannot just purchase the addon (DLC). Later they can make new stupid rm150+ for its new game expansion.
If i buy this premium (rm160 or something which got all the version), it feels like i just burn my already have BF3 game rm100. I think i just wait if they make it for DLC version instead, if they planning to do this later.

I think you're missing the point here. There is nothing wrong to charge for dlc but the fact that DICE has been consistently promoting the fact that they wont charge for extra maps over their counterpart (COD series) as shown in the source is downright hilarious when they just did with BF Premium. Sure you can argue that BFP is more worth it compared to wtv COD is ptting up, but thats an entire different topic. DICE, like most companies out there is a hypocrite (not that everyone dont know) just by releasing that statement about MW2 and then now currently doing the same thing. Again you can argue it's EA fault but either way whoever thats responsible for this franchise just took an egg to their face with such contradicting statements. lol @ devs working overtime, it sure took them long enough to fix the M26 dart bug.

the price of the DLC includes all future DLC right? right up to aftermath?
on another note, i think putting priority queing for premium players is a bit unfair.
