QUOTE(roystevenung @ Jun 5 2012, 08:46 AM) If your card is blue in color then its still under the PRUmajor Med (PMM) card. The new PRUhealth card is silver in color. Upgrading to PRUhealth lets you enjoy: If I hold PRUmajor Med(PMM), can I increase my lifetime limit instead of upgrade to Pruhealth. For what I knew, PMM is better than Pruhealth, in term of coverage as follow:- QUOTE PruHealth is under the new policy contract since 2008 (or 2009 cant remember). The older PruMajorMed cards are the ones that does cover the long term medication, take home drugs. QUOTE Do note that take home drugs, examination test & long term medications is not payable under the new policy contract. Thus, the PMM is more beneficial for patients who have cancer and kidney failure. Do correct me if I m wrong.

QUOTE(roystevenung @ Jun 5 2012, 11:00 AM) If you are based on invitation basis, then the superior terms from your old PMM cards will be retained! For those who specifically upgrades it without any invitation, it is subjected to the new contract. For example if your PMM card is without co-insurance, upgrading it to the new PruHealth is without co-insurance! However, one thing to note, if your policy is without any pre-existing illness exclusion/loading and along the years one develops cysts, or tumor or any medical condition prior to the upgrade, the upgrade will make your policy is with pre-existing illnesses condition. In this case, it is best to try to get another policy. In terms of cancer/kidney, the PruHealth puts a cap on co-insurance for outpatient treatment, 10% or maximum RM 2K! Thus it is better. As opposed to the PMM card, no cap on co-insurance.
If the bill is RM 15K for cancer, co-insurance 10% = RM1.5K
HTH Mind elaborate more for the red highlight above... If PMM has no co-insurance, that mean all expenses(outpatient treatment) are borne by insurance company, isn't it is better than Pruhealth? e.g. if the bill is RM15K for cancer/kidney failure, under PMM, all expenses will be borne by insurance company.
