Yeay, my wife's CFE is being registered today, have to settle for Silver instead of Elegant Brown. All in all, we had to wait for 3 working days only.
Hopefully things will work out well for us... |

I read somewhere tha one guy vehemently insisted that if u want to safe fuel, u should press the SAT button if taking long drives as then the car would be running on 6 gears as opposed to only 4 using CVT. Another person said that everything is electronically controlled and using CVT is the most fuel efficient method.
Another thing, my car has less than 50 km on it, so can I take a long ride up till 120km/h before the first service or shld I go slower. The manual says it's ok and to maintain the rev at 3100rpm. Pls advice, anyone...TQVM Added on August 1, 2012, 11:32 am*shld not exceed 3100 rpm..not maintain..sorry.. This post has been edited by pokdengs: Aug 1 2012, 11:32 AM |

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Aug 1 2012, 03:34 PM) the basic thing you should know about CVT is the non existence of physical gears in the CVT system itself. Instead of cogs and gears, CVT works on belt and pulleys. So there are no 4 gears,5 gears whatsoever. The SAT mode is only a button to activate the software controlled, virtual 6 speed mode. It gives the feel of driving a car with a six speed gearbox. TQ bro for the info..much appreciated.. |

QUOTE(klate @ Sep 4 2012, 05:38 PM) I never drive the CPS .... but it is a common complaint that CPS engine is underpower. With CFE bold I personally satisfied with the power, being driving Toyota Unser for the past 10yrs as family mover moving to Exora CFE is a big step up. Not to exegerate but traveling long distance with family in Exora CFE is 3X more enjoyable than with Unser in overall Yup, having it for nearly one month, already 6k on the odo...looking forward to the weekends coz driving it is so enjoyable..love my CFE.. |

QUOTE(klate @ Sep 4 2012, 11:23 PM) Yes lucky you .... I paid everything for CFE including the petrol but most of the time driven by my wife . I only have a chance to drive when traveling long distance with family. For daily commute to work I still stuck with my old volvo. My daily transport is a '91 saga...hopefully the CfE can last that long... |

Hi, just wondering whether the fan will continue to run everytime we turn off the engine, or when the turbo unit temp reach a certain limit? Wondering coz sometimes the fan didn't continue to run after a long drive but did run after short drive.

Have u all pressed the air circulation button to ensure that no air from outside enters the cabin? The one with the red light when turned on.

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Sep 19 2012, 06:14 AM) Having used turbo diesels for years and having the habit of monitoring the temperature, I would say what you said is not true. So, what do you think might be the explanation? Just now wifey sent the car to SC for 10k sevice, told them of the issue, seemed to find no problems with the car. |

According to the SC, the fan will turn on if the temp rises to a certain level..
Dunno whether the heat of the turbo unit will be reflected at the temp meter but for sure I once sakit jari when opening the hood immediately after stopping coz the metal thingy to prop up the hood is damn hot... |

With the standard CFE unit that I have, no need to get additonal power...I find that not many can catch up, even on top of east west highway if I really need to rush...
All in all...this is the best RM80k my wife and I had spent for a car... |

From my experience before Raya, smaller dealers can give cars faster..I got mine in 3 days only whereby even my friends who are EON managers want booking first and cannot commit when they can deliver..
