Hi All bro here,
I am a newbie here. Received my EB in June2012.
About 2 weeks after, my EB had problem.
While waiting at traffic light (with engine running) out of suddend "CVT alarm" indiciated at panel. Try press the fuel paddle but car not moving. So call proton hotline, where he advise to off engine, open front bonet & disconnet battery terminal.
Then he asked to re-connet battery terminal.
After, "CVT alarm" cleared. Can move as usual.

But what really frustrating me was yesterday (about 1.5 months after above incident).
"CVT alarm" indicated at panel when slowing down upon road hump. Off the engine for 1 min then switch on. "CVT alarm" cleared and i start the engine. Moving again. Then it happened again! Argh....
This thing happened 4 times yesterday.
Finally i gave up, drive back home (luckily not too far from home) and switch my other car.
Hmmm....bad experience to me.
Anyone can share/help me in this matter.
To the extend i feel like to sell my EB now!

Just got my EB..

Fill in full tank got smell inside cabin. Think a few users got this also. Any clue yet why this happen?

Also realized got wind noise from driver side at above 100.

Then, the fan sound after u switch off the engine, woahh!! That is loud.. Worried neighbour will complain at night.

Other than that, all good.. Acceleration is good as expected.

OCV & CTT repplace but still dying 

hi there..im quite worry about both CVT & CTT face by several exora owners...if you all dont mind can someone post the picture of the location for both issues? Pleaseeee......

To own an EB you need a alot of  patience 
first few months need regularly go sc to claim warranty, if not livina will suit you the best. If livina comes with turbocharged and big space like exora bold i definitely choose grand livina

My eb problem
Oil control valve - no permanent solution yet
Right front lamp got water sip in - claimed at sc
Squeaky driver seat - claimed at sc
Gear knob not pointing straight - sc fixed it
Fuel lid hard to open - sc adjusted already

Thank God i dont have one way valve problem and other major prob,  my eb already 9k  km 

1000km for the 1st service.
even 2000km also nvm. just service ur car when u back to hometown.

Instalment around RM800 for max loan at 96 months..I think..
But lucky me, my wife paid cash for it to replace my old Pajero V6..odo already 450k km..now in hibernation mode..

its actually depending on how heavy do you used your EB. it was highly recommended for those who are a heavy traveller to use a high quality of EO (engine oil) which literally means fully synthetic... the advantage, u could prolonged ur service interval.. if the car was on heavy used, i will not let it last for 10k.. i would shorten the interval a bit, such as every 8k or 9k, because basically when it reach 8k, based on my own experience, the engine started to feel a bit lag, a sign of EO not performing well.. one might argue this, but im talking about the car was on heavy use, such as 10k of mileage in less than a month... if u think that u commute ur EB as usual, not so heavy driving, less long journey, u might opted for semi synthetic that required for a 5k service interval... mind you, VW car was design for fully synthetic EO on 15k service interval, but if u spoke to the mechanic, u will hear more less the same like the one i wrote above... just my 2 cents.. 

Lotus magazine also report using 10W30 for the CFE. So is that SC saying everybody else is wrong and he alone is right?

Sorry, my mistake. Lotus actually say "lower viscosity mineral oil was specified to allow extended service interval".




to add into that, on my 1000km and 5000km service, i saw on my bill that they pour "X-1R" engine treatment. Now the question is, did the manual said that the CFE engine Bold/Preve need to put the X-1R oil engine treatment?

It cost me RM45-50 bucks for that treatment and i didn't asked for the treatment. Is it necessary?

I always turn off engine during refuelling and never encounter petrol smell in cabin. May be I need to try refuelling with engin ON to see if I have same fuel smell.

Have u all pressed the air circulation button to ensure that no air from outside enters the cabin? The one with the red light when turned on.

So, what do you think might be the explanation? Just now wifey sent the car to SC for 10k sevice, told them of the issue, seemed to find no problems with the car.

anyone upgrade their EB performance yet? ... btw, my Disc brake easily bengkok.. already changed 2 times.. this time bengkok lagi.. not even 1 year yet.. haiyaa.... 1 year, 2 time change already.. y la..

Yup, I tint another layer on top of the original ECOTINT 

front 30% dark, 2nd and third row almost completely black

ya, all window 50% black.. but will void the ecotint warranty 

So far encounter 3 JPJ officer, and no problem 
They ask and I reply got baby in my car, dont want my baby kena direct sun. When I'm alone, they also believe coz they got see the baby seat at 2nd row 

Total RM1600 but with the free voucher, only rm800..my sc say no problem with warranty because same brand of tint and voucher itself given by the sc 

hahaha.. when overtake just drop to L, focus on the road ahead no time to see the rpm ...
when drop to L rpm shoot to between 3k-4k.. so more on torque I think...
