QUOTE(multiplexer @ Sep 12 2012, 01:02 PM) eh. last time i heard someone went to that mutiara damansara sc, he was told that synthium 1000 sold out, he even ask the SC to get it from the petronas nearby, and the SC did that... i couldnt recall who was that person. how come the same SC told u that synthium 1000 will damage the engine? if its more damaging than semi synthetic, why the heck it was sold double the price from the semi syn?!?! i cannot brain this.... For whatever reason i had no idea. I would get better grade oil for my EB if possible, but that is what they giving out now.

to add into that, on my 1000km and 5000km service, i saw on my bill that they pour "X-1R" engine treatment. Now the question is, did the manual said that the CFE engine Bold/Preve need to put the X-1R oil engine treatment?
It cost me RM45-50 bucks for that treatment and i didn't asked for the treatment. Is it necessary?

Did you guys experience where the SC forget to change the air filter even though they had charge to your bill?
or
SC never change your air filter at all even though after 10k km service?
or
SC said that air filter had ran out of stock but they didn't even bother to tell you?

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Oct 7 2012, 01:58 PM) IMO, better stick to original air filter and avoid K&N. More thing can go wrong with K&N. the k&n can spoilt the engine component? wat bout spark plugs? I know the using ngk iradium. wat bout others iradium?

QUOTE(vinorgouki @ Oct 7 2012, 10:15 PM) They jz use the high pressure air gun to blow the filter. Every time i go service i saw they did that. How do u know air filter have to change every 10k km? I cant find at manual or where. Im thinking to use the Redline drop in filter. No nd reoil. Hehehe... Spark plug have to change 60k km if not wrong. And how do u know they use the NGK Iridium? NGK is really good enough but they are selling very expensive. anyway its best to change airfilter everytime go service I suppose. but I got a tip frm one of the perfomance shop at sunway UTR is producing metal flow type dropin filter for bold n preve. I know they r using ngk iradium type cause someone help me took it out and have a look. its a long headed and thin type of plugs which not easy to find outside. Please take a look pic below (this is for graphical purposes, not the bold cfe version) and btw, I changed to torco oil 10w40 wit mpz friction reducer. I can say its soooo much smoother then syntium 800. This post has been edited by akchang: Oct 8 2012, 11:39 AM Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(leongsem @ Oct 15 2012, 11:09 PM) either from Hella or PIAA? But PIAA a little expensive so might be thinking on Hella. I'm not sure whether Philips or Osram offers yellowish bulb?

Was doing some cross ref on the plug but couldn't get it for Denso or BOSCH The best i can search is DENSO SC20HR11 (not sure the heat range are the same?) - http://www.globaldenso.com/en/products/aft.../2007/05_2.htmlYou can look at the heat range converter here - https://www.ngk.com/learning-center/article...onversion-chartFor Proton Exora Bold Cfe - NGK heat range 7This post has been edited by akchang: Oct 27 2012, 10:27 PM

QUOTE(vinnlim @ Oct 30 2012, 09:33 AM) hi jemmi i planning to came out my first mpv exora bold cfe . can i know what is (If need small upgrade add good GC & VS) ? thx 1st GC - Ground Cable VS - Voltage Stabilizer Somehow the bold cfe engine is not properly ground for whatever reason. By putting them it will smooth out your ride (wont increase hp/torque). Be aware that it may void warranty for your engine so it is your choice.

QUOTE(dreamKrusher @ Nov 6 2012, 08:48 PM) depend on the color of your coolant, some red, green or blue.. if the water isnt transparent, it has color, then it should have coolant already poured in and mixed. just be aware of brownish, dark red...color of rust...which you wont be worrying in new car. maybe in next 5 yrs? 9/12? i read that it is ECU 118 the latest... what 9/12 stand for Sept 2012? thats what the service receipt printed on to it This post has been edited by akchang: Nov 7 2012, 06:36 AM
