According to the SC, the fan will turn on if the temp rises to a certain level..

Dunno whether the heat of the turbo unit will be reflected at the temp meter but for sure I once sakit jari when opening the hood immediately after stopping coz the metal thingy to prop up the hood is damn hot...

So, what do you think might be the explanation? Just now wifey sent the car to SC for 10k sevice, told them of the issue, seemed to find no problems with the car.

I do think that the characteristic between turbo and soft turbo charged is not the same...that's why the fan is acting different way

Manual only using CPS not CFE turbo. CPS is better with manual since the 4 speed auto doesn't really match with the car weight.

As far as I know, my friend kena before on his toyota, normally, after a hard drive & hard braking, soon as u reach home, while the disc is still hot, u wash ur car.. Water flush directly to the rim & disc..

To me whether the fan turn or not, I'm not bother with that, fan triggers to turn when the system call for.. As long as it served for the purpose & protect our engine, thats the main point.. Frankly I'm kinda like this system! biggrin.gif

BTW, after almost 6 weeks of installing the grounding, my EB haven't had and engine die off yet till now.. But jerking is still there..

I notice quite a few EB have problems with their brake lights. When you apply brakes, the right one lit up normally(bright), but the left one lit as if the headlamp is on only(dim). What's the problem?

You guys try check your EB. So far all I found is all CFE version.

Hi eb bros. i got my solid white eb just before hari raya.
Now mileage 3k. Weekend car. Love d space n power.
So far these are d probs i encountered with my ride:

1) when engaging d reverse gear, something will interfere with d radio,
could it be d lcd display?

2) uneven bodypaint edges under d front grill. On d rear bumper, paint
layer peeled off in d gap where body n bumper meet, maybe happen during
bumper assembly when the paint was not properly dry underneath

3) rear view mirror wire cover suddenly drop while driving one day.
Found one of the clips on the cover broken, maybe due to forced
assembly. On the rear view mirror base found a 1cm x 1cm double sided
tape, maybe placed there to 'replace' the broken clip by the culprit

4) left headlamp becomes foggy at night and early morning.. got leakage?
right headlamp ok

Went to SC to file a complaint.
These were the results:

1) During checking with the SA, we couldn't re-simulate the prob. No
interference. Aiseh.. it seems it happens only when i'm at certain
location, normally when i reverse the car to enter my porch

2) Their 'paint expert' came down from Shah Alam and took photos of the
problem area and issued a report. Have to wait for the result whether or
not i can claim or get it fixed. SA said 50-50 chance since my mileage
already 3k plus

3) SA suspect the clip could be broken by tinting shop guys.. cannot
claim. But they can help to order new part if i want, price rm26. No
need la for now.. used back the old one

4) Technicians perform checking on the headlamp, pour water and what
not. Confirmed leaking.. changed a new headlamp immediately (was lucky
they have stock)

I'm thankful i do not face any engine problems so far, as mentioned by
many..

When engaging reverse gear... there will be interfierence... if your radio is still on...

For the Back Lamp... i've all ready claim both of my back signal lamp because of the bright red lamp got burn. the small red lamp still work as normal. Don't know why that happen... as long as i can claim... i'll claim.

Now I experience the Petrol Smell after refueling.

What I did differentlly this time was
1. Refuel while engine on
2. I purposely pour some fuel into the small hole at the tank entry.

I never see this small hole in other cars driven before I do not know the function of this small hole but was very carefull not to spill any fuel into it before whenever fueling.

I suspect the the petrol smell come from fuel going into that small hole. Next time I will refuel with engine off and purposely spill some petrol into that small hole.
