I do think this is their way to finished their stock for fully syntech EO...or they just want to raise up their monthly revenue...will be more careful next time and insist for 10W30 instead

Those X-1R is an additive for engine treatment and not necessarily to be use. But usually the standard procedure when you are at SC is ..they will list down all the parts and oil that they suggest and it's up to you whether you want it or not...I do think in your case you didn't realize it and accept it all...So be careful next time and do read the list before you sign it....just my 2 cent
*
Yes .... on my 2nd service they suggest to do some sort of "smoking" to get rid of the bad odor, put the X-1R additive and top up the aircond lubricant/oil .... which I reject all smile.gif

if in PLUS Highway, you need to make a claim to PLUS ... you're their customer, but to easily get compensation , do make a report at their toll plaza/plus ronda BEFORE you exit their hi-way... if not they might claim the accident occurred outside their highway....

well.. if they already snap the picture before you exit their highway, it would be no problem you proceed to replace the bumper first then attach the bill for claim... but I'm worked with different highway as such the process might be different... someone from their office should call you within 24hrs or maybe you can call them first to reconfirm their procedure for claim. If you manage to talk to the respective person, be firm to get an answer... whistling.gif

Hi, just wondering whether the fan will continue to run everytime we turn off the engine, or when the turbo unit temp reach a certain limit? Wondering coz sometimes the fan didn't continue to run after a long drive but did run after short drive.

It also happened to me when refuelling & engine still on(aircond/fan also on). Next I turn off engine before refuelling & no petrol smell in cabin after that.

This funny autofan also happened to me, may be the fan control not accurate. Yesterday, after 100+km journey engine fan not running when switch off engine but at night park it inside carpark the engine fan run nearly one minute after switch off engine. doh.gif

I always turn off engine during refuelling and never encounter petrol smell in cabin. May be I need to try refuelling with engin ON to see if I have same fuel smell.

Have u all pressed the air circulation button to ensure that no air from outside enters the cabin? The one with the red light when turned on.

Mine the same too. Usually after a long ride, the engine fan will not run after turning off the engine. But after a slow and short drive, the fan will on when the engine is off.

My guess is that during the long ride, the wind and air circulation outside the radiator and engine is alot hence cooling it down continuously. While in a short and slow ride, the wind is not strong enuff and hence the fan will on to further cool down the engine when the we turn off the engine.

Not sure if this theory is correct though.. :-)

Having used turbo diesels for years and having the habit of monitoring the temperature, I would say what you said is not true.

So, what do you think might be the explanation? Just now wifey sent the car to SC for 10k sevice, told them of the issue, seemed to find no problems with the car.

For me I dont mind if the fan spin or not after engine turn off, as long I see the temperature bar at the meter stay at normal, Im happy rclxms.gif

One more thing I notice about my EB, not sure about you guys...everytime I drive without turn on the aircond, after I turn off the engine 100% confirm the fan will spin
