oh ya, how do u guys think abut the aftermarket air filter? currently im ordered redline drop in air filter, its a dry filter and no nd reoil.
but im confusing now, i think that high flow filter will give better airflow but less filtering on dust. the oem paper filter should be better on filtering.
so hows u guys opinion? change or not? i scare my engine get dirty.

dirty part is the throttle body only.

so once in blue moon have to send the throttle body to wash and do pdt.

Inspira original tyre 205/60/16, better go to 205/55/16. Coz Inspira tyre diamater over 3% tyre upgrade rule compare with Exora original tyre. icon_idea.gif

After market air filter like K & N let in both more air and more dust into combustion chamber. There are no free lunches in this world.

for me, i think install grounding cable only is enough already coz its cheap. to buy a vs need another rm100+-

after one week installed the grounding cable. what i can comfirm is my car feel very very light.
radiator fan seems not very loud already.
for the radio receiving, headlight brightness i cannot comfirm coz i cannot see too much difference. or maybe its jz a slightly better, on feeling maybe? hehe...

oh ya, how do u guys think abut the aftermarket air filter? currently im ordered redline drop in air filter, its a dry cotton filter and no nd reoil.
but im confusing now, i think that high flow filter will give better airflow but less filtering on dust. the oem paper filter should be better on filtering.

bro, tq for yr feedback. u will observed the radio clarity when u balik kampung, where the radio station r further away frm town biggrin.gif
And rgding the filter, i do not see why we need to install other filters or some other aftermarket items, coz our EB filter air intake mouth already facing towards the front, hence, the air will rush into the air intake system when we accelerating, isn't tat enough? Juz my opinion, coz i think mendling with the air system will void the warranty, which i think its not worth it..

My previous experienced used aftermarket drop-in air filter like K&N & etc not void warranty but make sure you replace back the normal/oem when send for service coz they will clean it with air gun. Aftermarket washable air filter will damage if clean by air gun.

Yes correct! I calculate base from my Exora Bold 205/55/16. If calculate from 195/65/15 the different only 2.73%. From that idea meaning Exora can fix till 235/45/17. may after this(next year) can try put 215/50/17 at front & 235/45/17 at rear. Good for grip & safety but may be worst for fuel consumption. May be look like X6 tyre, hehehe biggrin.gif

Hmm, like tat, my opinion is this is troublesome.. moreover we also dun know how good it filter out the dust.. Anyone try this out?? Can share??

Btw, bro virnougouki, i think it is necessary to fix up the VS coz, in normal condition, our car operating voltage voltage varies frm 12 ~ 15v. If VS been installed it will always maintain the voltage to 12v. When accelerate, the most also around 12 point something..

You did not void your warranty with K&N is because:
1. They close one eye
2. They didn't know you use K&N because when you send in for service, you put back the original.

By all legal right, they have every right to void your warranty.

For those waiting for exora.....don't know how true, i saw in another forum
that exora bold production will stopped for quality issue....

from another forum :

Ok kawan2..info terkini dari kawan aku saleman kat JB pulak (yg sblm ni aku dptkan info dari kota tinggi)..bnyk tempahan keta proton terpaksa dibatalkan sebab proton dah berhentikan terus pengeluaran model-modelnya..yg ada skrg cuma stok utk penghabisan jer kat gudang2 penyimpanan proton di seluruh negara.

Model yg diberhentikan terus dah tak keluar lagi yg baru:
- Gen2 (semua versi)
- Exora (semua versi)
- Satria Neo (semua versi)
- Savvy (semua versi)
- Persona (Medium line & High line)

Yg masih dikeluarkan:
- Saga (semua versi)
- Persona (Base line sahaja)
- Preve (semua versi)
- Inspira (semua versi)

Selepas ni Proton cuma nak habiskan stok jer bagi model2 yg diberhentikan pengeluarannya yg masih belum terjual....

Harap maklum....

Dear All sifus,

I'm planning to get EB soon now in waiting list. Been reading through since page 1 until the last.

I saw someone mention about the SAT setting next to the gear. Wondering while driving if we push the SAT button will it cause any harm to the gear?

My thought is, if this SAT will not cause any harm to the gear box and there's someone mention here SAT will not cause the car to jerk when it's idling or pick up when reverse, or at traffic light; with this function enabled, will that solve the jerking issue and after the car move for a distance, switch back to the CVT gear? Just my thought.

Also by the way, after reading there are so many OWV and OCV what are the symptom of having this hope that sifus that had experience in this can share as a list so that to other guys and newbie like me can pay extra attention what kind of symptom to have these OWV and OCV. Thanks in advance

P/S: Feel scared also after hear you guys say got so many issue... But I don't feel/have this problem (lag, squeezing sound at dash board, engine loudness, jerking when slowdown near to traffic light, reverse time engine almost want to die) during test drive in PE 2 weeks back...

I have EB for 2 month with 8k on ODO. My only bad encounter is engine die off ~4x during ownership when shifting gear to "D" or "R" and sometime feel engine jerking during idling. Other than that am very happy with the car.

Thanks bro Klate for your reply. So just wondering is there any workaround about this? Also did you try to switch between the SAT mode on/off during move/idle stage? As i heard someone mention when turning SAT on it will not face this jerking issue? Can any EB owner test/confirm this?

By the way, just curious whether will turning on SAT on the road cause any problem to the gear? Or it has to be on stop condition then only can switch SAT?

HI ... Enjin jerking during idling and sometime die off seems to be a common characteristic for EB reading from this forum. As long as it is not always happening and no oil leak should not be worry about it. Some folks here said installing extra grounding will help to smooth out the engine.

im not owning any EB but once, was a potential buyer of the EB CFE and was doing quite a reading works related to this model for some info.. as far as im concerned, SAT did not contribute to any performance gain. its just the feeling of changing the gear... once u turn on the SAT, than the CVT gearbox would feel more towards the normal converter transmission.. u would feel the jerking of normal transmission and a bit of faster response on gear changing.. thats all SAT do... some people just cannot stand the lagginess of CVT, and this gap was filled by the SAT mode... just my 2 cents..

been trying to find the symptom why sometimes my cars feels jerking last week.... not sure its true or not...

From my last 2 days observation, when i on both aircond (front & rear) on number 2 speed... i feels sometimes a bit jerking on running and rpm not stable during idling (up and down) and engine feels like to die off...

If my EB unable to start during first crank, it makes higher chance to feels the jerking...

will install the grounding once visit SC... need SC to analyzed my EB first...
