Completed mine as well and I agree, it was very fun. I'm used to.. well poor voice over when a Japanese games are localized and as far as the demo goes, the voice over was done nicely. I can't say that I like Virion voice, but he only speaks like two, or three lines so I'll wait and see(hear).

Can't wait for 4th of February~

well it seems I spoke too soon without researching it first.  blush.gif

Giving the players the chance to switch to the original Japanese audio is a nice touch, seeing as many jrpg fans buy games which their favourite seiyuus has a role in. The English voices in this one is as good as the ones in Kid Icarus Uprising though. It's lovely to see NOA putting in so much effort/budget for this niche series biggrin.gif

I guess I'm a sucker for games where the avatars are highly customizable blush.gif and Fire Emblem has it and the battle remind me of Arc the Lad..

Well.. This isn't really the right thread, but apart from Fire Emblem which isn't out yet, You can try Mario Kart 7, Super Mario Bros and Maybe Pokemons? In the future Monster Hunter, Luigi and many more

I just played the demo too! On Normal difficulty and Casual mode because I wasn't sure what to expect. I'll try the other modes later...

But damn~ I love it. I wanna play the full game now! ^0^

I had the 3D effect on throughout the whole demo. The 3D effect on the cut scenes...wow. But it was a really enjoyable experience. I kinda wished the demo was longer though...

One question... and probably it's too early to ask this but... if I've never played the other Fire Emblem games in the series, would the story leave me all hanging and confused in Fire Emblem: Awakening?

I loved the demo but I'm not sure whether SRPG would last me very long?

This is what I mean:

Cut Scene -> Battle -> Cut Scene -> Movie -> Cut Scene -> Battle -> repeat

No exploration, no world map, weak story (?)

Help me out here, I can't decide whether to pre order or not sad.gif

there's word map, it's go to point to point on the world map like Atelier series. you can also freely go where ever you want.

I don't think Fire Emblem has weak storyline...

There is a world map feature in Awakening, but if you want to do level grinding I think the only way is to purchase at least one of the many DLC maps (I think the one with Marth will be free for a short while). If I'm not mistaken you can get DLCs after the 4th or 5th chapter? The world map allows you to also visit shops and battle with your friends' team and potentially recruit the leader after you defeat them or spending in-game money. Also, the storyline is really great IMO, possible one of the best in the series. smile.gif

I highly recommend getting this game! thumbup.gif

Yeah, you're right, but I meant traditional 3D world map where we can walk around or ride transportation FF7 or Ninokuni style.. you say we can go wherever we want, but is there actually a field we can move around, besides the world map & battle map? maybe walk to a weapon shop instead of selecting from the menu?

don't get me wrong, i really like Fire Emblem and TRPG in general.. i can't wait to start developing characters and the various combat classes is kinda refreshing. but I'm just scared it will get old after awhile (like other TRPGs). But then again, I guess this type of game (Cutscene -> Battle -> repeat) is perfect for portable gaming hmm.gif

If im not mistaken.. There is marriage in this game.. Your main character can marry anyone you recruit in the game (opposite gender), plus your recruits can marry with each other.. and get offspring out of that marriage too, and recruit them later.. I think thats more than enough to get you busy lol..

and according to wiki.. Theres an overworld map as well which you can venture through and interact with npcs.. Soo yeah.. Could be my game of the year
