Imma still hesitating either get this Japan version or wait for localized. never played a single fire emblem series before. but with the fair score from famitsu magazine i dun think is a bad game, just like how they score monster hunter and enjoying every bit of it.

Always been a fan of SRPGs, played the GBA one and loved it, definitely gonna get it if it's localized, but that paid dlc is a boner killer

our body is ready

Added on June 13, 2012, 7:25 ambrought mine. later gonna try it out and give a short review. my second game for my Japan 3ds. hope is a no-brainer game.

first 3 hour impression. it is a good game. a very different tactical game that i played before. this is my first fire emblem game. with the new introduction of double, where two character engage as one to boost some of your character stats.

job base wise is quite balance with weakness and resistance. still getting a hangover about the game system. is kinda complicated and hard. yes i choose a hard mode.

heavy based storyline so if you want to enjoy the story either wait for English or see someone to translate it.

very very tactical and technical.

Playing FE game for the first time on hard mode. I hope you're not a perfectionist who want to keep every character alive through the whole campaign. notworthy.gif

i thought that is the most basic in tactical game? so hard to grime one character level. i do have to admit that i restart alot of mission for the first few chapter just because of mistake that make my character die.

is hard to level up those new people that join your group when enemy is so far level than you.

did i tell you they have another game mode call lunatic? harder than hard.

Well you actually get more exp points per enemy since it'll take more hits for you to kill them. Just make sure your units can survive the enemy phase after that.

I've finished the hardest mode on every English FE games except Radiant Dawn (Wii) so don't worry about me. xD

wow! you more terer la liddat. is their format system is you can't upgrade their armor? only can upgrade weapon?

and their weapon system is like limited to usage also, with counts. the switching system of item/weapon between character also quite nice.

just want to know if one of your story character die you can't revive? not in your team anymore? will change the storyline?

In some of the games when you lose a unit they just retreat from the frontline and never fight again, but they still appear in dialogues. And in rare cases some might come back to the frontline.

trying my best to keep all the character alive and get those character in my group. eventually some of the character can get you some extra mission/event.

now abit familiar on how to take on those baddies on hard mode. found out that all the critical hit and auto-block from team-mate are really random. At the sametime is hard to earn your gold coin to upgrade your stuff since even you win a mission/event you won't get any loots unless you sell your stuff. Things are not cheap though.

Never trust the hit rate/ criticals displayed in the game. Sometime it's like the enemies are armed with cheat codes, especially if your character is on low HP.

I don't bother buying expensive equipments in the games. Prefer cheap weapon's high durability.

Oh, what kind of save system they are using? Can you manual save anytime in the battle? Or there's designated save point on the map?

Save is A-ok anywhere when you're on the map. When in the middle of battle is from the start only. 3-slot saves. So when you're in the heat battle and you lose out you can't do hard reset like other tactical games. You have to do it at the start again. rclxub.gif

consider a temporary save when in battle. once you load it will disappear.
