No. Better go buy external battery pack OR keep a charger everywhere u go (in car, office, home etc.) Its more efficient then rooting and using custom rom.

seriously lar. rooting and custom rom will give freedom to customize your phone more. the purpose is not to save batt.

main battery juice sucker is the screen and you can tone down the brightness without rooting. second juice sucker for me is data connection, nothing gonna change if you root, just turn it off if not using lar. gps also suck juice like no tommorow but also nothing to do with rooting. rooting will giv u freedom to tweak cpu/gpu but the savings is not much compared to the above.

so conclusion, go buy battery pack or bigger battery.

fyi, i'm using sun lobal 1850 batt also yoobao 11200 ext charger.
my screen always on 10%. just data always on, wifi only at home. seldom use gps, seldom call with this phone,
my cpu set to 1000 (just to see save batt o not) ..

just install juice defender and see for few days .. then i post here the battery graph usage ..

lol printscreen if G, press power+home (hold both for 1 sec)
if non G can use the method above and also vol down + power, both also hold 1 sec.

best way is to press power, hold then immediately press home or vol down

guys, on paranoid rom 1.1 (tablet mode), how to set the phone to silent but will vibrate on msg/calls ?

seems like there is no vibrate on/off on the down notification settings.

In your opinion, what is the best app to save battery?

Previously I'm using Juice Defender..but after a while..I remove it cuz found out it drain more battery..
Since that, i never use any app to save battery or kill task..

setting > profile > setting silent profile > Tick all option volume overrides to 0/7 media: 0/15 > vibrator overrides > tick both option for calls and notifications > done

EDIT: if your restart your phone via hold power button the select restart, option in setting>sound>vibrate and ring will be unchecked by itself so this will void your silent profile. this bug i notice in aokp rom hydro and my current cm9 PA. i always restart phone via xxtweaker so that option will remain checked even after restart (using fluxi kernel). otherwise u can checked it back manually...

to really2 save battery, is to NOT HAVE ANY apps at all..

so u wont use ur phone for anything else than SMS and calling and camera..
but camera (video) also sucks a lot of juice so lets just put that aside also..

save battery, the best way os to minimize usage..
so, minimizing usage is like buying a phone but never really use it..

ADVICE: use wisely.. plan ur usage and always have backup (battery, charger)

I think its underclock max cpu to 1000 lar.

my method and some necessary apps:
-UC and UV range 200-800 (800, 825, 850, 925, 925, 950, 950 (with fluxi of coz)
-set radio 3G (browsing speed is acceptable. not sure for you)
-brightness 15%-25% (my eyes got no problem with this)
-install Autostarts. and disable unnecessary process
-install BetterBatteryStats monitor apps that currently drain you battery
-install SystemApp Remover. Uninstall and freeze unnecessary app
-disable backlight, dial pad touch tones, touch sounds, screen lock sound, vibrate on touch
-set fixed IP for wireless connection
-windows animation scale and transition scale 1x only
-disable play store notifications

screen lock sound also drain battery meh?so small things

compare ur battery life while turn it on and turn it off. your choice... BBS shows it all

Autostarts no update since 1.7.5 (2011-12-10)..wondering if the dev still develop or not..

install and you know what is the culprit always running and turn in on by itself. your choice..
