Can u guys check if u have this same bug as I have.. If you launch the stock internet browser the screen dims a bit, and when u try to close the browser, it becomes bright again and u can actually notice the browser become brighter for less than 1 sec before it closes. I have auto screen brightness set on, but even tick it off and off power saving still same . Havent tried out the other browsers like chrome or opera By the way I called samsung to complain about the erratic wifi issue i have, hey said it could be a software issue only, just need to birng it in for checking. As much as I want a 1-1 replacement, I also applied SP to it, so if replaced, there goes my SP

QUOTE(ken2291 @ Jun 5 2012, 12:24 AM) Mind explaining the WiFi issue a bit more? Wifi issue since day 1 got the phone. I can connect to my router n browse the net for bout 1-2 minutes then no connection despite full bar of wifi strength on notification bar. Need to pull down menu, turn off n on again wifi to be able to surf again. That also last for 1-2 minutes before same thing happen again. What I've tried: - forget network n enter settings again - hard reset phone - take out sim card - reset my router Any help is greatly appreciated. Now really no time to go to service centre esp if have to leave it for few hrs or days to repair..

Yup, think so too. But since the phone is still usable without wifi n now no time, think i'll wait till all the hype is over. Then if need replacement better chance they have stock n no need to wait so long..

Finally found a solution to my wifi issue, credits a forummer in xda-developers. Basically if any of u have the same dropped connection issue when on wifi, here's the fix;
Type *#0011# to open a service menu> settings > wifi > set wifi power saving to OFF.
Since doing this i have stable wifi connection for the past 2 hours whereas before this after 1-2 minutes it just stops.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jun 5 2012, 10:38 PM) Yup, actually if it helps others why not. Maybe ts can consider. So far I've been monitoring the battery usage since I did this n it has not reduced drastically. Initially worried coz it did say 'wifi power saving' Will do a proper evaluation on my next full charge.
