How serious? You didn't notice during the point of sales?
*
it's rather serious, i think, since it ran like a third of the main screen. it appeared today though. I checked it when I bought it and it wasn't there, suddenly when I finished playing some game today, i noticed a crack on the screen.

Should be changing the LCD related assembly.

My friend changed for his S2 for RM 500+ at Samsung SC.
*
how long would it take?

A couple of days. IIRC within 3 days!

I see. So is sending it to the SC the only option I have?

I am the first person in Malaysia got my s3 screen crack during the day opening sale. I went to SC in PJ (Near AVOn, NAZA there). They will replace it within 1 hours....when you go there talk to the girl say the first person who cracked his s3 screen sent you there. Expect to pay around RM400+...

Don't CHANGE your screen from any third party. You need to do it in Samsung or you will void warranty.
*
Thanks. but I'm in Negeri Sembilan, so the nearest SC for me is in Seremban. I'll try and see if they can replace the screen just as fast there.

thanks again. notworthy.gif

Just sent my S3 to the SC in Seremban. The technician said it will take a week to order the whole thing and have it repaired. Had to pay 600 for it, which was a surprise, since I thought it would costs more, with logistics and all that.

So, I'm officially handicapped for a week. Back to old phone for now. T__T

Time to get myself a case for the phone.

Anything I need to make sure when I get the phone back?

it cracked and they don't cover it for warranty and u have to pay for it?? that sucks wei..
*
the warranty doesn't cover for cosmetic damage e.g cracked screen, it only covers it if you see it when you first bought it. It's written in the warranty card.

yes i understand, but it is not fair bcz the user didn't spoil it. did u made the crack? it can be considered as manufacture defect if it can crack by itself.
*
Well, had to just swallow it, I guess. Maybe I'll be more careful the next time I grab a smartphone and wait until everything settles down sweat.gif

i think i saw someone posted about Maxis user having to register the e-warranty themselves a few pages back... something about sending Samsung email with your particulars and scan of your purchase or something.

Got my first scratch on my screen protector. cry.gif Truly hope it's not a crack on the screen. How to identify if it's a scratch or crack without removing the screen protector?

Sorry if my question is stupid, but I really do not want to lift the screen protector up in fear of introducing bubble/dust.
*
look at it from the side. if it looks the same, then i think it's not a crack.
