Ayoo...This Android Ice-Cream Sandwich on Galaxy SIII quite different with Android Gingerbread on my Galaxy S. If before this I always turn the background data OFF, now I'm lost, no background data ON/OFF option. How to turn off the background data. Can somebody help me! I don't want my gtalk and YM online always.

Now I use Green Power app to manage mobile data, mobile data automatic off when the screen off, but I still got notification from gtalk, whatsapp and facebook. How accurate actually the mobile data off method?

Informative post alert!

Those who want copy paste file from/to MacBook Pro/Air, download Android File Transfer from here: http://www.android.com/filetransfer/

When you done the installation, plug your SGS3 to USB. Then for USB option on your SGS3, choose Camera PTP:

I try copying huge number of file just now, the Android File Transfer application crashed. Need to copy slowly, one folder to one folder.

Ya, I now. Just replying KuLi (Tengku Razali?). He want serious discussion here. icon_rolleyes.gif

I already have some idea to improve our SGS3, later I will post there:
- nice Arabic font
- truely nature based theme: all box shape convert to oval shape like pebble.
- extend quick panel when long tap on the icon.
- big [Clear] button on notification drawer.

I'm very happy because SGS3 have recording FM radio function. Now I can record my favorite kuliah and play it again anytime.

My friend accidentally invert the screen color.now look so weird.can someone teach me how to change my color screen to normal back.I Google search and can't find anything about it yet
*
Hehe..go to app drawer > widgets > Negative colours 2x1

Put it to your home screen. Then tap on it. Tadaaa...

It's usefull when you browsing white website or reading e-book. More black color on the screen, more battery save.

Use free app quickpic to manage gallery which is a piece of junk app
*
Quickpic...This one, right? ~> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...lensw.PicFolder

I think the advantage of SGSIII stock gallery are the tilt to zoom and pan to browse function. Same like the internet browser, cannot tilt to zoom on Firefox and Chrome beta.

haha if turn off confirm battery life will be better

but since this is a smart phone, and the battery life is still good, then i just leave it on
*
rclxms.gif I always off sync because I already connected to net on my PC and laptop. When go off, sure I have something to do like driving, eating, shopping etc, so that I always off the sync function. When got bored like waiting order, turn to meet Doctor etc, then I refresh my gmail, office mail etc manually. Heheh..

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Jun 5 2012, 04:21 PM)
manual brightness save more battery. the auto brightness is a bit sensitive and the brightness levels are sometimes a bit off, it dims too much or brightens the screen too much
the 45 sec is a bug i think. refer my previous post
*
I think, all standby input will always run such as:
- light sensor for auto brightness
- front camera for smart stay
- motion sensor for direct call, smart alert, pan to move, tilt to zoom etc
- screen rotation

If we disable all, we save more battery.

Take note about background internet data running by app we install such as:
- facebook
- twitter
- beautiful weather
- whatsapp
- gtalk
- YM
- chatOn
- google+
- 3G Watcher
- etc

If possible to logout, or reduce refresh interval from always connected or refresh every 5 minutes to manually refresh or refresh every 8 hours, than we can save more battery.

Just two cents tips from me.

I just downloaded SGS III Retail Mode, I interested to look the phone interact itself like demo unit in the shop. But after installed it, then run the apps, it prompted password before I can use it. I don't know the password. Please help me. If I can't use it, that's wasting my internet data and disk space, the size is about 100++mb.
