I'm not sure this will happened to non idevice or not, just share my friend experience, her idevice (got from celcom) home button was spoil, sent to Celcom Pavillion, wait more than a month still no news at all, called also nobody pick the call, so we decided going to the celcom shop last Friday, ppls there totally don't intend to entertain at all, the reason given was no authority to check the system regarding the warranty status, wtf!!! My friend keep sitting there & refused to leave, finally the representative has no choice & don't know where he got a replacement set (look like brand new) & pass to my friend. Conclusion is how bad celcom handling warranty issue.

S3 owner can comment on the heat? After use it for some times, will you feel warm or hot at the back of the phone?

decided to get the s3 first while waiting for htc to solve quality issues with the 1x.
besides, the earlier zerg rush had died out.
makes more sense to get it now since not intending to sign plan or forced into buying accessories.
arnd 10:30 am after taking bfast at coffee bean, strolled over to the mv blue cube outlet next to kenny rogers.
found out from the pak cik thr got abt 20 sets of pebble blue s3 selling at 2199.

no crowd, quite relaxed atmosphere...ok, so let's do this.

while waiting for pak cik and a young lcly chinese chap attending their customer, got one sorhai rushed in.
his face looked like he found God  after they told him got stock and it was pebble blue.
then he told a story abt how he rushed from celcom jln ampang, pavillion and capsquare before coming over here.
afterwds he sat down exhausted and played with the demo set.

was too polite to laugh at this guy.but in my heart was laughing at him.
well, tbph even the pak cik also shaked his head a bit.

when it was my turn, pak cik took out a new box, checked the phone together with me.
he even know the screen test code. 

chatted a bit with him...asked him abt the sales of s3,
"biasalah, benda baru. banyak org tengok, tak ramai yg beli. stok pun banyak"
"apa mau buat, free gift pun takde".

then i asked him whether he bought one...

"takde, tunggu iphone five"

asked me to go sep for accessories.

anyway, everythg seems ok, so cabut and test out the phone for normal usage.

initial impressions:

essentially it looks more like a beast than a beauty.

phone is huge.but good grip.
display is clear and good. but not excellent like h1x.

and finally, android have landed. although it took them a few years (4 generations) and quad core to achieve lag-free experience.

additional impression

as expected, the huge screen size makes one-handed operation cumbersome. cannot stretch thumb diagonally corner.

feels the phone may drop if use one hand. better maintain 2 hands.

auto haptic

u go settings > sounds > auto haptic. check and see whether power amp is selected

for me this feature is only useful for gaming. but it only improves the experience and feel.
your main usage ? 3g line or wifi ? screen brightness and time out?

I believe it's like this. Let say one batch consist one million phones. 600K comes out defective while the balance 400K comes out okay. This 400K is what we get and it called Pebble blue.
Samsung try to replicate the same colour as the Pebble blue. Or maybe Samsung had enough and decide to make an easier colour on the next batch. That one is Metallic blue.
But all this is my own assumption only la..:-P

wave you root your phone laready?

I just downloaded SGS III Retail Mode, I interested to look the phone interact itself like demo unit in the shop. But after installed it, then run the apps, it prompted password before I can use it. I don't know the password. Please help me. If I can't use it, that's wasting my internet data and disk space, the size is about 100++mb.

hand itching to root tonight, but kinda sad/afraid to see the counter going up after root
