just want to check with those bro who has apply SP on their SIII - will the SP be applied properly? I mean fully attached to the surface of the SIII. As the whole front of the SIII is not totally flat, there is some curvy slope around the edge of the phone, the SP fixed will not be totally affixed on the surface around the edge. sweat.gif

Anyone know JB got blue color one already? Looking to get it from digi.
*
dun think so, i think JB currently should be out of stock everywhere - the whole first batch is white.

Maxis line was very2 good.. biggrin.gif
I can get full bar and H+..
bye2 celcom.. tongue.gif
*
yes, din know this until my wife's SIII is inserted with Maxis sim. I think previously my wife's old HTC Desire can't get H+ even though also on Maxis.

Btw, the shop at Danga City Mall cut your normal SIM to micro-SIM for you, right? Are you going to Maxis to get a new micro-SIM card? Heard someone here saying they will charge RM25. i thought should be free? Going to get a new micro-SIM replacement tomorrow.

Must really thank you again for tipping about the info at Danga City Mall, else i sure miss it coz din know there is a hidden "roadshow" over there. notworthy.gif

Switching back to Maxis definitely when the Note II launches. wink.gif

btw, thinking of getting 2x 32GB Sandisk Mobile Ultra Class 10 micro-SD this week for my wife and brother's new SIII. Anyone want to tag along to get a good price? not at current retail prices of course. Will do a fast bulk for 10 pieces for 32GB and 64GB if some of you interested.

How much does it cost if buying in bulk?
*
64GB Class 10 i can get around RM255 excluding postage. 32GB i need to check price - should be around RM140-150. This will be a one time fast bulk. Normally i do bulk for items that i am going to buy myself just to cover my own cost, so prices will definitely low - bulk casing for HTC Desire and Otterbox for Desire HD previously. After the bulk close, i may not do a second batch coz dun really have time. biggrin.gif

btw, both of these are Class 10, not the slower Class 6. Should be able to get Class 6 too but since the price difference will be only RM10-30, might as will get the fastest. tongue.gif

Prices might be able to reduce slightly (RM5-10) if we can get larger quantity - 30 pieces or more.

will the Class 10 speed get decrease after certain time of usage or if there is too many file stored in the microsd will affect the speed?

i got 1 class 10 microsd. First time when i transfer files it show 10mb/s (average), but after few week, i only get 6mb/s sad.gif
*
it actually depends on the file size too. Transferring large file will get you higher speed than transferring large numbers of small files.

you are welcome. biggrin.gif

btw, the lowest price i can found on garage now is about RM130 and RM245 for 32GB and 64GB Sandisk Class 10. If there is any lower price, do let me know. If I want to bulk, definitely need to beat the prices of all the garage prices, else no point doing the bulk. cheers.gif

Hi Guys, do we need to start a new thread on "How To" do things with our new Galaxy S3's?

For example I want to know how to save the photos I take to the SD card and not the internal storage?

Do we need a new thread for that?

Does anyone know the answer to my question? ;-)
*
why such noobie stuff needs new thread? Read the manual please. doh.gif It is at page 74 of the User Manual - go read it!! I just can't understand why ppl like to ask question about things that can easily find in the user manual. blink.gif

Just in case you say you do not have the manual - http://www.samsung.com/my/support/model/GT...alDownload=true whistling.gif

I can tell you, 9/10 new users never bother to read the manual which I would say is a MUST especially if he is new to Android
These users just are plain lazy or ignorant of existence of such a manual
I have seen so many such users in all the phone threads including iphone/ipad where common questions whose answers are readily found in the manual
*
maybe becoz nowadays there is no hard copy of user manual included in the package. laugh.gif

seriously, i normally go thru the whole user guide even before i get the gadgets. nod.gif and most importantly the info of checklists/tests to do upon collecting the gadgets - this is too important to ignore.

do maxis centre still need to queue for the phone after the promotion?
*
All the rush should die down after yesterday. Maxis centre in JB has nothing to queue for - i think they are only allocated 20 units for both JB centre which has been snap up on first day of launching. Next batch will not come so soon i think.

some users experienced the crack earlier on as well, one of them even mentioned it appeared suddenly but it looks well out of the box.  How come the warranty does not cover this?
*
so need to do additional physical test when collecting the SIII - better to twist and squeeze the new phone a bit to make sure the screen still intact. sweat.gif

have you rooted your SIII? i think need to buy Root Explorer too. smile.gif Actually it is very simple - just download the ownhere maps, rename it to GMS_Maps.apk, then use the Root Explorer to copy and replace the original GMS_Maps.apk in /system/app.

Just note that the Maps.apk in SIII is rename to GMS_Maps.apk in /system/app/.
