Guys laugh.gif I watched this HK drama call on call 36 hours. Inside I kept seeing family members do operation for other close relation family members. like Brother to brothers, father to daughter etc. I thought this is not allowed... I mean family members can't operate another family member coz scare can be affected by feelings etc?

is there any ethic rule that say a doctor can't operate or diagnose his family members? If yes... how about cousins?

there is no law or rule against treating close relatives, but it is advisable not to, because the emotional relationship can impair clinical judgement and decision making....

all medical entertainment dramas are exactly that......dramas to entertain.....and should not be taken as real....

oic coz there is an etiquette rule for lawyer not to take brief from family relative ( rule 3 Legal Profession (Practice & Etiquette) Rules 1978) I thought there is a similar provision for medic ethic. Thanks alot anyway.
