QUOTE(limeuu @ Mar 18 2017, 10:30 PM) there are already a glut of doctors, and it will get worse, so there are no more scholarships overseas... you also do not qualify for the 9a+ scholarship.... there are 2 branch campus medical schools where you can opt to do a semester of even a year in the parent campus....this will be an exchange, NOT a transfer....ie you cannot transfer your studies there, and you will need to return to the msia campus to complete your studies.... It won't be an issue if he plan to go to Singapore or do HO in UK before being an MO in rural Aussie/NZ.

QUOTE(limeuu @ Mar 19 2017, 08:38 AM) still lurking here?...i thought you are way past that.... both monash malaysia and numed degrees are not recognised in singapore... while the numed degree is recognised by gmc, there is no option to do fy in uk at this point...whether brexit will make a difference, remains to be seen... monash msia degree is recognised by amc/ahpra...and every year a few graduates do get intern jobs in oz...but it gets more difficult...i don't know of any that got jobs this year, because even those graduating in oz itself are not guaranteed jobs the profession of doctors is under the dibp watch list, and may possibly be removed from the sol either this year, or next year (july is their new cycle month)....because there is no more shortage of doctors, and curtin starts their first intake this year....if that happens, then not only monash msia graduates cannot get jobs, but international students graduating from onshore oz med schools will also not be able to get a work visa to work after graduating.... I have family members studying medicine in UK so I still keep it in my mind. I was thinking he said he's going to UK. Numed obviously not recognised anywhere else. Expensive too. Although I heard Africa always accepting I think he is better to study as a radiographer if he is interested in healthcare.
