It's just like some doomsayers forecasting the imminent collapse of the economy.
Someone please share with me which professional group unable to find employment or fail to make a living. Doctors are still among the highest professional earners and even if there is a drop of 50%, it is still comparable with other professions.

In the malaysian context, with all kinds of endless possibilities, one can't help wondering, and if you really analyse without rose tinted glasses, it can be a disturbing prospect. Of course every medical student now will aim to be one of the 3000 (according to limeuu) that is really needed annually. BUT.......

Technically those that are high earners either graduated from a local public university or those who have their parents fully subsidising their education fees..

comparable? how are you even comparing anyway? a 50 year old consultant in a top tier private hospital with a 50 year old chartered accountant or a 35 who may just finished masters degree and a 35 year old manager ?

What has it got to do with where you graduate from and whether it's paid by the parents?

aimst only looks difficult because they reserve most of the places for their own foundation students, and jpa scholars.....it's to 'guarantee' all places are filled from a large cohort of foundation students they take in....that is NOT taking in the best.....

both monash and numed have watered down their selection process so much, they are actually quite easy to get in now.....just as long as you have that 500k+....monash is ignoring the isat results they still insist applicants pay money to sit....and numed has now dropped the ukcat test completely, as now it is clear non of the graduates will be able to work in uk.....
*
What is isat and ukcat tests respectively ? Thanks.

Ok, thanks for the suggestion. On another note, why did isat and ukcat dropped ? Don't these universities care or concern about their status and/or reputation worldwide as what they are doing here is setting up a campus or branch of their universities ?

I'm just wondering, how many universities are attached to HKL for their clinical teachings? So far I think MAHSA is one (correct me if I'm wrong), I'm sure there are some more though.

Yes earnings has nothing to do with your liability. But yet doctors are not earning that much in contradiction with what the public thinks. You pay RM20+ consultation fees when you go to a clinic yet people now are able to pay RM50+ for a simple haircut. Comparing the fees used to study medicine and the fees to be a hairstylist, who is earning more? Yes you may say that not everyone will visit the hairstylist but yet there is not just 1 clinic in whole Malaysia. Other than that, the so called "expensive" fees by staying in hospital is earn by the HOSPITAL OWNER not the DOCTORS.

there are 5000 new doctors a year currently, and the numbers is expected to peak at 7000 a year....

there are only 1000 masters places at the moment.....

do your maths....
