Hey medical students,
I have a doubt here. If I want to do MBBS, which pre-u study should I choose?
Some say A-Levels and some say Foundation in Science.
I'm so confused. I seriously need opinions from seniors sad.gif Please help...

OK. I am a bit confused.
I will keep it simple.
Let's say I want to be a Skin Specialist.
I've done my IMU medical degree and i've served the government for 4 years.
I need to further my studies rite?
This is the part where i am confused, can i further my studies in UK/AUS?
If you think my question is repetitive, do not answer.
I just want clarification on the matter.

Depends on where you want to study for your degree.

If Monash, MUFY is enough. If local U, matriks or STPM. If UK/private unis, A-Levels. If russian U, foundation in science.. and the list goes on.

But if you still undecided on where to go, A-Levels is a good choice.

Couple, who lost son, sue hospital for negligence

By S. Ista Kyra

IPOH: A couple, who lost their first-born son 24 hours after being delivered, filed a negligence suit against a private hospital here today.

In their writ of summons, civil servant Mohd Helmi Mohd Isa, 30, and his wife, lecturer Norehan Abdul Hassan, 30, claimed that the death of their son in April last year, occurred after a hospital personnel wrongly injected their child with a medication meant for the mother.

The couple, who have been married for three years, did not specify their claim for  general and exemplary damages.

"We are seeking justice as well as a fair compensation from the hospital. We will never be able to get back our son but hopefully other patients will not be subjected to similar negligence at the hospital in future," said Mohd Helmi when met outside the High Court.

Mohd Helmi said his son, Muhammad Mohd Helmi, weighed 2.6kg at time of birth at 5.19pm on April 13 last year.

"We were informed hours after the delivery that our son was in critical condition due to wrong injection administered on him by a hospital staff," he said.

that case by datuk hii has no basis.....he was appropriately advised, and was given the option of follow up assessment....he took the option to proceed for surgery...

steve job's situation may have influenced his decision.....

i doubt if the court will allow it to proceed....

Interesting state of affairs in the US hospitals - no wonder medical litigation is a full time career.
