Shipyard work is really tough job, and mentally challenging especially with deadlines looming, you could easily go on 2-3 months, 7 days a week non-stop. I'm also in the marine industry. Exposure to the industry is pretty good in shipyard especially considering Singapore is one of the top in oil rig building.

About money wise.. bonus is fantastic, 6-9 months is quite a norm. OT every weekend with not much time to play then get to save a lot of money.

Must be getting very good pay for 10 months work !
