Job application is like that one, the only thing you can do is just keep on apply, because you never know when you will be call to an interview, i think i heard some in this thread also wait for more than 1yrs. hmm.gif hmm.gif ,not sure, but need to have patience

noticed that some of you took a long time (or even one year) to get an interview.
just wondering. after an interview. usually how long do the companies take to contact you regarding offer (if you get the job)?
do they even contact you if you are rejected?
thanks.
*
Normally after the interview, you need to ask or they will tell you when they will get back to you.

I didn't ask them, and they didn't tell me when they will get back to me. So now I'm waiting. Sigh. Don't know how long should I wait.
Thanks anyway smile.gif
*
Erm...Since you didnt ask and they didnt tell you, i guess maybe you can email them after one week and ask them about the status, if not, u just have to wait, normally one week shud be enuf to determine if you are hired onot.

*
Erm, start to apply job through all the job market. that is the best way to start. thumbup.gif

Or if you got any friend in the same field as you, you can ask them to help forward your resume to their HR.

anyone know any agent for singapore job, i wanted to sg for work.
*
Erm, the most efficient way for a agent to help you, i guess directly go to the agency there and register with them would be better, such as people profiler, recruit express.

what are the usual requirements to start a job there?
*
Erm, you mean usual requirements for a freshie?? i dont get it.

Anyone also can start a job here, as long as you fit the job requirements stated there and the hiring HR think you suitable, then they will call for you to interview. Secure the interview, you secure the job.

i mean, the health report? etc?
*
Haha, your question funny la. Only after the company want to hire you, then you only to go thru the medical checkup, which consist of these:-

xray(Chest XRay)
HIV(Blood test)

You passed it and you can get ur pass then you can work in SG d.

if you follow this thread, you found out that job hunting is a quite long process, so if you wish to start work in singapore, you can start job hunt at job market, e.g. jobStreet, jobCentral, jobDB, then they will arrange you to come singapore for interview, afterward you need to wait for their reply if they hire you onot. is a long process, interview does not guarantee you the job.

If you are not in singapore, job market is the best.
If you are in singapore, perhaps you can try go to the recruitment agency or look thru newspapers.

You still can try apply, if they cannot get any people to apply for the job, they might consider you. hmm.gif

Indeed, the shipyard bonus is lucrative. Malakoff bonus oso not bad. Hear they got 6 month bonus every year. But, SGD vs RM??? hmmm
*
Comparison between malaysia and singapore never end. it just based on what u want to compare? lifestyle, saving, safety etc.

maybe now the most attractive is the conversion rate. drool.gif drool.gif

hi everyone.
i've attended some interviews in Singapore last few days.
one of them has offered me. but have yet to give me a formal offer letter. just asked me to fill in the EP form to submit.
is this standard procedure? when will i receive the offer letter? after approval of the EP pass and medical check up or will they give me the offer letter before approval?
thanks in advance for your advice.
*
