for the 8 hours journeys and cost travelling to and back from KL, I already would have earn enough to cover the difference. judging from your questions it's very obvious you have very few friend(s) here. oh, and most of us normally go back just to hangout with our family members.

1. take night Express Bus to Sg, alight Woodlands. Take bus to Kranji MRT. Kranji MRT to destination
2. drive all the way to Sg (weekend no VEP). Park car at Sg (Woodlands/Chua Chu Kang ? a lot of free HDB parking on Sunday). Take MRT to destination

i think that's quite true. It's bankrupt, the only thing that is preventing it from going under is the amount of being contribute > the amount being withdraw. Heard there's an awful lot of 'pain-in-the-ass' rules and regulations when you wanna withdraw EFP $.

Sg road are pretty easy to navigates, link by few major expressways.

You just need to buy an Autopass card (S$10 with S$6 value ?) upon entry into Sg, near the Immigration Building itself. I don't think you gonna use much of the $6, other than the toll (>S$2) for exiting Sg via the old causeway. Once in Sg, find a HDB parking which is free (tons of it around) for Sunday to park your car.

Normally for foreign cars is to pay a flat rate of S$5/day for unlimited ERP entry for the day, to be deducted from autopass card when leaving Sg

Think most who are working here already signed under company corporate plan, which easily > 25% discount
