By the way, I end up didn't try the scanner in custom as I realize duration letting officer check is somehow similar with scanning process.  laugh.gif

The duration itself is the same, but depending on the timing, the queue can make a huge difference. Like if you go over the border by land and woodlands, the officer queue sure got dozens of ppl each line whereas autogate only a handful of ppl.

I'm not really in the telco line...i dont deal with wireless/3G/Radio/CDMA....but engineer but dealing with the 'enterprise' products...namely WLAN/Switches/IP Telephony/CC n so on....but my company DO have equipments with the service providers both in SG n MY....you should roughly know what/the names..not many players out there in this specific telco industry

whats the procedure like if I change my employer? do i just inform MoM to issue a new work pass?

Added on June 11, 2012, 12:12 amand will my previous employer know which company i go to? will they be informed by the MoM that I have changed my employer? I decide not to tell them though, just resign stating due to personal reason.

Added on June 11, 2012, 12:15 amand since my medical check up was only done less than 4 months ago do i need to do it again?

1) new company will do that ...MOM needs to verify with company
2) no they wont ...only new employers can check previous background
3) depend on MOM if they needs it

cheers

congrats on the new job

Thank you for the answers biggrin.gif
That's a relief as long as my previous employer doesnt know where I go to sweat.gif
I dont want them to get upset on me leaving within my probationary period and think that i treat the work as a temp work until i find what i am looking for.
I seriously have never thought of leaving but there came a golden call from a big company which offers me a salary 1k more than my current one so... shocking.gif
I just couldnt resist....

I'm just going to tell them I have to leave the country due to family issue back in my hometown... cry.gif i feel so sorry

Hi, a question here. Is it possible to open a bank account using the in-principle approval letter for EP? Any other requirements?

Yes you can and there isnt any other requirement. U can open an OCBC account with your msian IC, that's what I did before I got my work pass.

for ep card holders it is usually $1k to open and a min balance of $500 for monthly fee waiver... unless your company has special relationship which allows you to open for free...
