QUOTE(benny888 @ Jun 1 2012, 12:37 AM) Just tested again second time . I copy some audio files over to internal SDcard. Hard reset it gain - files wipe out So guys better have a backup of your added stuffs in the internal SDcard - especially critical when you plan to flash roms as wiping data will be involved Uncle Benny, when you do hard reset all files in internal sdcard (phone storage) been wiped out, is it.? But not the external (memory card)..right.,? This post has been edited by waveweaver: Jun 1 2012, 01:02 AM

QUOTE(Kevin_Low @ Jun 1 2012, 01:08 AM) How much you think at least should be enough? If do many custom roms flashing via Mobile Odin then had to buy 64GB since gonna mix the roms plus all official firmware with all the images, videos, songs inside that same card.

QUOTE(ivan_koh @ Jun 1 2012, 06:59 AM) Warning! I got my S3 yesterday not sure is defective or what, after using 24 hours found out the screen have long line of scratch (more of long deep crack). Also the smart stay not working at all. Really disappointed with quality. Going to SME and see can replace the screen or not. I don't even know it is me or the phone is defective. I never hit the phone or drop it but have use it alot with finger. Advice is to protect this s3 with cover or screen protector because quite fragile If you got long scratch on your device due to manufacture defect then you entitled for 1 to 1 exchange within first 7 days. Where did you get your phone from.? Go back there first and ask for replacement new set. If fail then go to main service centre and ask for replacement there. Good luck

To all new white S3 owner, here a few tips on how to keep your new phone colour last longer. - avoid charging while the phone in casing. - clean your phone body atleast once a week. - avoid leaving your phone in direct sunlight. - don't forget to clean the Samsung wording when you do your routine cleaning. The wording prone to get sort of rusty colour due to our sweaty hand. - avoid using cheapo brand TPU casing as it can easily stain your phone back cover due to high temperature when working or charging. - avoid using coarse cloth when cleaning as it might leave fine hairline or micro scratch. Keep your investment in tip top condition. :-))

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Jun 1 2012, 09:21 AM) hmmm... this is actually something that i thought is just nice to have... but reading this made me realise... my screen is set to turn off after 15 seconds... sometimes, it gets annoying when i'm browsing the internet and the screen just goes off... ya... i guess this is definitely a must have now... just wondering if some mod will port it over to my GNote... Added on June 1, 2012, 9:23 amoh... and i just posted about this... if that's the case... Smart Stay with my screen off in 15 secs settings might not be useful... Put your screen off to maximum time will solve the problem. I always use power button to off the screen manually instead of auto. :-)

QUOTE(themanguydude2 @ Jun 1 2012, 04:41 PM) For rooting Did you use the insecure kernel from hereOr the S3 here doesn't use XXALE8 and have to get the insecure kernels from here?Or the method you linked can root without flashing an insecure kernel? If i'm not mistaken., no need to flash insecure kernel. - flash CWM recovery using Odin. - flash SuperSU zip to get root using CWM

QUOTE(wira020 @ Jun 1 2012, 07:30 PM) Not sure if this is the right place to ask but have anyone try changing the shortcut on lock screen? I cant find where to change it.... I think most of the default shortcut are useless lol. Long press the shortcut/app that you want to delete then bring it into dustbin at the bottom right. (Application place) Oppsss..that one at homescreen not lockscreen. Sorry for the wrong answer :-) This post has been edited by waveweaver: Jun 1 2012, 07:53 PM
