btw, for setting a "scrollable" wallpaper - open Gallery>>tab the Photo you want to be wallpaper>>tab the menu button>>set as>>Home screen wallpaper>>you will see there is a wide and narrow frame>>choose the wide one for scroll effect on home screen.

i think Celcom event is handled by 2 teams - one is the Celcom team and another one might be SEP who can sell the phone upright. Notice this at Celcom Roadshow at Sutera Mall JB coz when some customer want to ask about the plan, those lovely ladies in blue samsung uniform will ask them to go the other side to ask the Celcom staff.

looks like there will be very few new SIII owner within this week. Samsung really screw up the launching of this great phone. Looking at how Apple 4S launching was done, this is really pathetic.

i think it all depends on their policy, if other buyer is given the micro-SIM free, then you will get it free too but if not, then too bad. But you might be able to ask them to cut for you on the spot. if anything wrong, blame them and ask them to replace it with a new micro-SIM FOC.

My brother help me to sign up for RM30+RM68, but both our account only has 1 single line. I think if you have a subline then minimum is RM50 call plan.

i think kena conned by Maxis again, their usual tactics. RM50 minimum only applicable to Principal line which has a subline. Not apply to the subline - subline can get RM30 for sure.

but since you have signed up for it, just make more calls to utilise it, dun bother too much about the extra RM20. Enjoy your new toy and lower call rate (call rate on RM50 call plan is lower than RM30 call plan).

maybe this is what Samsung+Maxis want to create - seeing a long queue before the center opens for business. But somehow Android users have better things to do than camping.

Glad you got yours. Damn, just call the Danga Mall Maxis roadshow sales girl, she told me the courier got delay, may even delay to next Tuesday. But the package price will remain at RM999 though. sigh....can't play during weekend.

update - went down personally to Danga City Mall again to check it out. Din go with my brother yesterday night, so a bit concern whether it is a reliable shop or not. Surprise to find out it is just small booth and manned by a dealer, not Maxis themselves. Coz i thought only Maxis Center will have this promo. Anyway, i was assured that the delay is caused by courier problem, if they receive the stock late tonight, we can go collect tomorrow. ***finger crossed***

no issue on dropbox, i just sign in with existing account and the dropbox size is increase by 48GB on top on the existing 4.5GB.

collected 2 sets today. One of the SIII's home button is not sensitive, most likely is manufacturing defect. Change to another brand new set on the spot. Luckily my Note no problem when i bought it last year coz i only test the set after i reach home.



Reach home, first thing is root it and install Titanium Backup to restore data from previous HTC Desire. This SIII is not for me, it's my wife.

another discovery while setting up my wife Maxis SIII, the Maxis line is so much FASTER!!! H+ at my in-law house, my DiGi is struggling at 200kbps while the Maxis line is 5mbps+ tested with Speedtest.

Definitely switching back to Maxis after my contract on DiGi expired end of this year. Hopefully Maxis will launch RM999 of Note II by then.
