Just notice when to go to work today..when cornering, my radio volume seem to be level down for a few second until my car on straight line the volume became normal again. How?? Anyone can share or explain if u encounter similar issue?
Thanx..

i got this sometimes... i thougt maybe it got something to do with the signal or sumthing..sometimes the volume slows down and sometimes its normal again
*
I believe this is the dynamic/adaptive volume control. The audio will increase the volume if the car speed is high and the driving is noisy and will lower down back when the driving is quiet. During cornering perhaps the speed is lower, so the volume is turned down and once in a straight line and the speed is high, the volume is up. This is common for some cars.

You can set the level/sensitivity in the settings.

Last time I said, I have wind noise problem at C-pillar.

Today, I sent my car to Proton Edar COSE and I'm happy to say that the wind noise is totally gone. There is no wind noise even at 120-140km/h.

They did part replacement by I don't know which part.

i am wondering if i can send my car for service after exceeding 1k, like 1.1 to 1.2k km because wednesday only i free and now it's already 1k.

Also, gonna walk in to COSE instead of doing appointment cause it is very near to me. Any comment?

Can walk-in but your car will be in queue. If there are a lot of walk-in, expect your time will be in the afternoon. For example, today I walk-in to COSE at about 8.40am and my turn was at 2.00 o'clock. If you have so many complaints, it will be longer to wait and perhaps you have to come back. In my case, it didn't take too long. Maybe the wind noise problem at C-pillar is well known issue.

try go early. start at 8am. reach before 7.45am queue up i think. When u plan to go? wednesday or thursday? Or at least you try call to the COSE and ask if the CAT team around. any concern u want to talk with them also can. some even 1.3 or 1.5 or even 2k also go for 1k service. of course dont wait until 5 k service la.

I think the CAT team is always there. Even my problem is under CAT team. Its written in the service note.

Today I tried manual mode. push the gear stick all the way to the left and driving with paddle shift. Its totally a different experience. Its so nice when you can keep the rpm up to 5k while in first gear before changing to 2nd and so on.... The feeling is great.

when actually the right time to change gear? is it during the rpm went between 2 and 3?
*
in manual mode, its up to you as you are driving a manual car. kalau nak bagi org lain makan asap, revv up to 5k then only change gear. btw, the engine roaring sound is nice. its not annoying.

and the nice part is, you don't have to worry about downshifting as the car will downshift automtically when the car is slowing down.

Guys, needs your advice on the followings:

(iii) When unlock the alarm to open the car, i straight away went to the back seat to do something and didn't start the engine and closed the door. After some time, the alarm will start beeping. How to overcome this?

tks blush.gif

hmm... seems like the car got motion sensor just like merce car. But, normally, the motion sensor will activate when the car is locked(alarm on) with people inside the car. If you didn't lock the door, that's mean the alarm is off. and if you did lock the door, it seems the car is equipped with motion sensor. Is that so ?

Actually, why need to rev to 5K? max torque from 2K to 4K, rev til 4k then enuff to shift dy, that way you will stay with in the max torque range as you accelerate.
*
Yes, you are right. But, maintain the rev up to 5K, you can hear the nice engine roaring sound a bit longer...smile.gif btw, when you change the gear, the car seems like to drop in speed a bit before move back. I thought with CVT we will not feel the changing gear feel.
