this morning finally able to test the real power of my NCR... location:the new SKVE tol to Banting.. went 160 and is almost going very fast but then a lot of car is blocking my way.. (at this time feel like a bawsee coz can overtake big dudes like 2,3 vios, a few camry...)

when traffic all clear.. finally went for the kill.. but the car feel so heavy and when it gets to 180.. it feels like it wont go faster anymore,

push the acc until the floor and finally able to reach 190++. i think i did saw it reaches 200. then it came knocking on my sense.. NCR had not even went for the 1st service yet. so tak berani nak push lagi harder...

might even try again after 1st service this saturday...

1. If you check the boot opening mechanism, its actually using two twisting rod. some member has reported that sometimes this two rod can rub again each other. so they put some kind of padding on it.
2. Check the volume speed setting. lower the value or put 0 to disable
3. No such issue for me. But mine have the angin sound when press...
4. No such issue for me.
5. No such issue for me.
6. For me the vibration come from glovebox compartment locking mechanism. Nothing can be done in my case because they design it to be longgar. So it will vibrate no matter wat i do...
*
I also have the gluk gluk gluk sound near glove box area when car roll by itself when push to D, speed below 10kmh. The sound only came out after 5 days driving.

If after 1K service, your SC manage to solve it, please teach me ah. Thanks.

Guys, needs your advice on the followings:

(ii) I notice the pick up was very slow when i stop at a T junction before taking any cornering. Anybody experience this? Quite dangerous also i would say since i'm still new to driving
tks blush.gif
Careful ah, Don't step too hard when want to start turning left at the T-Junction. Hold the steering firmly with 2 hands while turning out. Because if you put too much pedal force, by the time the car launch forward at 1,800 rpm, the force of the power will swing your car steering to the right. If you hold the steering too tight, you would have turn too much to the left and hit the left divider kerb. If you hold the steering too loose, your car will eat into the right lane rather than keeping to it's own left lane.

For starters, just act like you are driving an old junk of the 60s and hesitating to get out of the junction when you see car coming fast, just wait till there is a huge gap only go out. Let them honk you from behind, just ignore them. Learn to find the right timing to release the brakes and step on the accelerator early to get the revs maintain at less than 1500rpm to launch the car forward. Just keep your foot pressure at 1500rpm and wait till the car moves. Calculate how many seconds delayed before motion, then use that experience gain to synchronise with the traffic flow.

Good Luck icon_rolleyes.gif

Front Wheel Drive or REar Wheel drive?
I saw the back passenger legroom at center got a hump. So it's rear wheel drive, right?

Today while sitting on driver seat, my backside itchy, so i try to lift up my buttt and my back press hard against the car seat backrest until i hear a 'praaaaak' sound.

U think it's a wooden board broke half or pocket spring popped in? I don't feel any difference in the hardness of the backrest. Only felt my buttt no more itchy. doh.gif

Finally, after almost 2 months 3 weeks of waiting, i received the car yesterday. Kindly update me in the owners list.

Izputra | CFE | Genetic Silver, received on 7/6/2012 (my wife's car actually)

All working as expected except i cant play mp3 using USB thumbdrive. Tomorrow will try another thumbdrive for confirmation. The initial sluggishness is still there..need to rev above 1.5k rpm for the car to actually move at an appropriate pace. The car will have an urgency to accelerate when i floored the pedal however.

By the way, my steering audio buttons did not light up at night (when i turn on the headlight). Is it the same with others?

Congrats! Happy for you bro. rclxms.gif

quite cheap RM140k, can get 40MPG

Yup, pay $70k extra for the Prius as though can save back $70k fuel in 9 years. And that is only break even! Not even start to save fuel cost yet!
The Prius buyers are smarter than us in mathematics. Go buy Prius lah. Make sure drive your Prius at least 20 years ah, otherwise couldn't save much fuel and need change battery somemore. rclxms.gif

Duan and me just diam diam enjoy our Preve makan minyak. tongue.gif

I heard because of the 2 cases also Red Color, so they want to differentiate a test drive red and the owner's red. To avoid unnecessary halucination. whistling.gif

Yup, I also cannot prevent my staffs tumpang my car with high heels knocking and scratching that area. I will buy the aluminium or chrome plate accessory which is much longer and install all 4 doors and probably also the door handles to differentiate my white white. Anyone seen such accessory available for the Preve yet? Shelby_Yong ?

Finally my air cond blower auto temperature function works today during lunch hour. Ever since I collected my car, the auto function only blow at fan speed of 1 even on a very hot day. But today after reading whitelighter comments about this issue, suddenly my auto temperature blows powerfully when I got into my car on a usual hot afternoon. After lunch tried again and it works beautifully just like my Altis auto temp.

Wonder why it did not worked correctly for the past 7 days hmm.gif

perhaps those aluminum shop can custom made and produce in larger quantity.

yeah another market opportunity created.
In the meantime, we could tear out the transparent stickers located at the bottom interior of each doors and apply them on that area first.

Speaking of 4G, my SA still haven't register for me yet. But since I am not in need of it, i think the longer I delay, the longer the expiry date, right?

Sometimes I wonder, using this kind of brake locks where it's permanently fixed to the brake pedal area, will it affect the safety feature of the brake pedal collapsing upon impact? Or will the brake lock shoved in between your thighs or fall off onto your knees when the brake pedal collapse?

I am currently using one that is smartly installed inside the steering area and locks up the steering, thus only exposing the key lock at the same area but it's not mounted onto the wall of the brake pedal area. I feel this is safer for my Altis. It's called CarryBoy and I hope they will produce one for Preve soon.

Rick bro.

Never heard of this one before. Any testimony that this thing works nicely in delaying the thief?
*
Beautiful workmanship, not like lockatech, lousy color and does not look rigid.

CarryBoy
3-Lock System
Firearm grade metal

The three lock is designed to be installed permanently to the vehicle steering column to ensure safety to the driver. Three Lock works as the best anti-theft system because of it's three locking action. The lock is fabricated from high tensile steel resistant to any hacksawing or forced entry attempts. It's 9 rings core code lock system denies any faked key, lockpicking or drilling attempts.

i think Rick talking bout the safety issue, like breaking ur shine bone.

Rick, I saw and heard ppl who involve in accident, broken legs cause by that thing. So depends you want it or not, it's less hassle compare to the traditional lock
*
Yeah, I thought so, and it does make me uncomfortable driving and thinking about my brother. blink.gif

So I will wait for the Steering Lock by CarryBoy or similar product. CarryBoy is from Thailand so they won't manufacture for Proton. I hope lockatech will produce it soon.

logically its not safe.
i went to jusco, look look see see, the baseball bat lighter and can also use as defensive weapon.
as long as park at safer place should be ok.

also saw those comes with alarm and can remotely alert owner within 1-2km if someone try to tow the car or break the lock.
*
Believe me, any conventional steering locks you see at Jusco, I can uninstall it and drive your car away in less than a minute, assuming I know how to start the car.

Steering wheel is actually hollow inside, to avoid injuring your ribs. I just use a good chainsaw and saw off a joint from the steering wheel and slide the steering lock out, it's just like how you remove a key from your keychain. That was how my first car was stolen back in 1995.

Go get the brake lock I recommended from Jusco, the AutoLock brand. That is better than stock steering wheel locks.

thanks for the tip bro, will go jusco again to check it out.
i will get both, coz the baseball lock, i can use it as defensive weapon

this morning heard the news about a lady robbed and injured by fake accident robbers. i wish batman, superman, spiderman exist

edit: which jusco sell this, coz the jusco maluri (now rename AEON) i went to dont have this brand. hmm maybe i overlook.

Read Page 50 of this thread. KiaPreve also using this lock he bought at Eneos Kepong i think.
I bought at Jusco Ipoh and there is a TV there using a VCD playback the demonstration of the toughness of the lock during the 80s in USA tongue.gif

You can still drive a manual gear car without brakes by using handbrakes but you can't start a CFE CVT without stepping on the brake pedal. rclxm9.gif
