adding additive probably change the viscosity of an engine oil.

today morning, I drive my preve, and I got "kreekk kreekk" sound coming from gear lever console when pressing hard the pedal (around 2k rpm up)...

anyone know what sound is that?

be careful as additives doesn't give a long term security to the engine...
i have a friend whereby he use (i can't remember what brand) have to overhaul the engine....

Can't PG guy, and I'm pissed bcos iCare respond lousy, I asked him why some people get faster when booked later, his reply "I don't know" so forget it cause I dont need a new car actually cause I have two just that wanted to trade in my Vios for this but forget it la since Proton not interested to sell.

As a young government worker (and still doesn't have any car,just motorcycle) , my big concern toward Preve is its fuel consumption.

Well, although it seems that the dealership and your SA is at fault, it is Proton's name that is affected. Proton should look into such hanky panky pratices by its dealers. At the end of the day, it is Proton's name and image that will suffer.

FB all bashing preve again They can bash in any kind of situation

Did my 1k service at PJ SS13 SC yesterday. Here is my review...

- Weird sound "guk guk guk" when moving at low speed or when in creep mode. When switch to Neutral the sound disappear. Suspected source, CVT.
(this is the highest concern from me. the sound is still there but reduce by alot. they say they tighten everything at there. but i believe it might also have something to do with the tcu recalibration)

- When begin to move in the morning or after long idle, sometimes you can hear some "cak cak" sound coming from the middle left engine bay. it sounds like something unlocking.
(still there. they say its the cvt charateristic. no idea true or not but this issue doesnt really bother me so much)

- Alignment lari to the left (have to drive with the steering senget to the right)
(fix alignment)

- Steering start to vibrate around 120km/h
(fix balancing)

- Brakes has like wind sound in the cabin when press.
(they say its the brake servo sound. but i guess they did something coz the sound is now much lesser to almost non. this issue also doesnt really bother me much, so its a minor priority to me)

- Throttle response are laggy. Other owner report better response after ecu was remapped and acc pedal adjustment.
(Recalibrate TCU and Reinitialize ECU)

- Air con blower speed up, down, up, down when car just started after parking under hot sun.
(Never get to test yet)

- When car is moving the blower blowing at low speed only
(Not much change. I still think the auto climate control is not doing a good job and was not design for Malaysian weather)

- Tint got dust trap in between the tint and glass. Warranty card not given to me.
(SC are useless to solve this issue. But it wasnt a high priority to me. They gave me ecotint hotline number instead. Will address this when I'm free)

- the HU screen sometimes will change the brightness to max and you can see like flashing on the screen for like 1 second.
(Still the same)

They also "con" me abit. Make me happy by saying going to put 10W 30. But end up they put 10W 40.

The Service Advisor (Mr. Wan Alizan) is quite bad. I wasn't satisfied with this service. This was the first Preve case he handle he said to me. Told me the "gukgukguk" sound was turbo. KNN. This is not my first time with turbo car wei. turbo spin at thousands of rpm, where got make such low frequency noise. Plus turbo is in the far front in the middle, not on the far left side of the engine bay. And if its turbo, why doesnt it have any sound when i rev max during stationary. Somemore can say.. oh.. the sound can travel to the left Then when i ask regarding my ECU thing, he say use S mode He later refer me to the main mechanic. When i ask about the tint issue, he say, Preve no come with at front and back tint... fuuu.. then when i press for answer he called a Sales Agent (Richard from Seapark) and finally he accepted that got tint and warranty card was missing. The sales agent later gave him the ecotint number and ask me to call them...

The Main Mechanic (Mr. Azhar) however was quite good. Explain to me clearly regarding the sound thing, say they tighten everything on the left side and found nothing wrong with the suspension or brakes equipment. He proceed to do a test drive for me, and i notice the sound much lesser then before. When ask regarding the ECU and TCU. He say they recalibrated the TCU and reinitialize the ECU. Not much improvement felt on acceleration but I think the TCU recalibration might have a hand in reducing the 'gukgukguk' sound. I will monitor a few more weeks.

Good thing is when i say no XIR or Magnatrap they followed my instruction. Total damage RM127.55

I later saw they mention on the bill something about battery terminal cover. Can someone who havent do their 1k service take a picture of your battery terminal cover... thx. I think maybe they got change it...
