 Is it safe to run the Authenticator on, Android apps emulator?

The idea of the authenticator is to keep your gaming PC and the authenticator separate. Thus when one is compromised you still cannot unlock the account without the other component.

Having said that, if you install and run an emulator on the PC that you use to play the game, you are just adding one more step to your login process without beefing up security. If your PC is compromised, the hacker will have access to your authenticator as well. Might as well do without one. Just my opinion.

Why bother when you are actually sharing an account with someone? Even if you take every precaution, the single point of failure in this scenario is your partner. If your partner leaks any info out, your account is as good as gone.
