I just subcribed to streamyx 2 weeks ago & I have tried changing the setting in the web admin page but I'm still having problem with my line.....

I'm getting contants disconnection whereby the ADSL light would go off & back,
off & back...sometime I can surf for about 40 mins or so....but it would
disconnect after that.
when I login to the web admin page of the modem...the speed is sometime
512..480...420 and even 384kbps...
when I telnet the modem, sometime it would show line up for a few second and than line down for a few second...it keeps on going like that....
when I look at the DSL statistic in the web admin, I get like 150+ error seconds in like 10 minutes & 300+ in CRC... mad.gif
Appreciate if someone out there can help!

Just make a report to TMNet and tell them the exact problem. To be frank, wish you good luck!

I had that problem last time though. It was fixed when I switched the router to bridge mode. Now I'm running my D-link DSL-500G on Bridge mode and Linksys WRT54G as the router.

personally saying, whenever i have problem with my streamyx connection sweat.gif ....i call streamyx hotline to complain rolleyes.gif ...they will give u the usuall bla bla troubleshooting methods... doh.gif shocking.gif

if still cannot solve the problem, then call them up again to lodge a report smile.gif ...and being seen so many ppl saying streamyx sucks...but their service side is quite responsive to any complaint lodged...will settle the problem in 1 day or so....atleast that is from my experience... flex.gif

im using 500G as well, whenever i check my bandwidth speed with the tm.net.my speed-o-meter, it gives 50% less results.
i still havent figured what's wrong with it. maybe i'll change other brands.

I also have the same problem for using dsl 500g for my home networking, so have anyone have the proper setting for it? Is it just like the quick comfiguration just key in the account name and password then it will connect though internet? Or need change other setting? I have try many setting but also cant fix it. It really suck coz everytime it just unstable, it will just stable for about 5 minute and after this, it speed will stop there(same as disconnect but the status is still connect). My neighbour line is so stable and how can mine like this? Is it the tmnet problem? Everytime complain to the tmnet also just ask me change this change that, but not use. So anyone can help me with this?

It might be due to low SNR margin for the line
