Guess there is a global delay for the pebble blue version.

On another note, does any carrier in Malaysia have DC HSPA? since the S3 supports it. Any of the three main carriers have them? Closest to 4G Malaysia would have if it's available and it won't suck on battery like LTE radios do.

Going by Samsung's track record with announcing higher capacity models for their previous phones, my best guess is the 64gb version will never appear to the mass market like the 32gb SII that never appeared. Anything that they say will come "later" don't usually appear.

At least the 32gb model is gonna appear in the UK as a one month exclusive for vodafone UK so we might see that in July.

I'm thinking if Samsung does make some pebble blue phones, they would prioritize the UK over other regions, it's their so called official olympic phone after all and also Vodafone UK since Vodafone as a whole in many countries is one of Samsung's biggest telco partner worldwide.

I could be proven wrong though.

well you don't actually get that speed. My write and read test with h2testw on the 64gb UHS class 1 sandisk micro sdxc got around 11mb per second write speed and around 19mb per second read speed if I'm not mistaken.

well I wanted a 64gb micro sd, I'm not aware of any other reliable brand with one other than sandisk when I bought it haha.

Depends on you really, for the average user even class 4 is enough. The normal class 10, as long as you don't buy some weird brand should be alright as well for something 32gb or lower.

Which one you are going to buy depends on you.
However the S3 from some analysis people have done have exFAT filesystem support which are the native filesystem of 64gb micro sdxc card so you can use it in the S3.

If by whatever reason however if there's no exFAT support, you can just reformat the card into FAT32 and it'll work as already proven time and time again on xda and all over the internet with even old android phones from a year or two ago. A number of devices would also take it if you reformat it into NTFS and the S3 definitely supports that and you can overcome the 4gb file size limit of FAT32 with that.

I'm guessing with the nature of the S3, you won't find one that covers the whole screen without bubbling.

haha yeah awesome announcement by Samsung in Aussie, "The phone will start being sold online within an hour and in stores by afternoon". Unfortunately all marble white and ETA of 8-10 days for news on pebble blue and virgin and optus are saying late june for 32gb versions.

Well what's more likely is they recalled it all. Then they make new ones to fix the problem and build up the stock so that they can ship it out in one go instead of wasting money and send small volumes out each time.

modern smart batteries don't need that, just charge till it's full and done.
You can use it straight away if you want if it has a charge in it.

So you guys who have the S3,
anybody has a 64gb micro sdxc formatted as exFAT, can you guys confirm exFAT support.

Oh and if anybody rajin, can you guys test if the S3 can play Hi10p 10 bit mkv files.

I played with a demo unit for 10 minutes then survived and balik haha.
