Obvious because torchlight 1 reflect to diablo 1 where you get kill dungeon after dungeon....while torchlight 2 reflect to diablo 2 ...you get more open space exploration.....and creater of torchlight are diablo blizz north as well so you get diablo wannabes 
Torchlight II looks AWESOME!! compared to D3, Fck D3 story mode is short, map is small and graphic is only SO SO, fck it all they want is $$
