Ok. Initially I wanting to get Inspira 2.0/Forte 2.0 both year 2011 and had been asking my dealer friends starting to lookout for me. Price would be below 80k and ideally below 75k maybe biggrin.gif

Now, while waiting my other friend is selling his Civic 2.0 2006 at 80k (60k mileage - his 2nd/3rd/4th car at home thus is in good condition and low mileage for a 6 years car) and is offering me first.

So all the above is 2nd hand while the Civic is definitely out of warranty period and with 60k mileage I'm unsure yet whether he had changed any wear and tear for mounting and steering rack (common problems for FD?).

So lets assume the loan period and down payment are the same. Which is a wiser buy?

And yes I'm a bit cheapskate too look for only 2nd hands tongue.gif

2nd hand car, the condition is very important, so you really have to shop around for a gem.

As for Brands, so go for Honda lah bro.... instant face value and respect from your peers!

I understand the risk of 2nd hand bro thus I'm looking at the the Inspira and Forte year 2011. They should have 4 years manufacturer warranty left just in case something really bad happens biggrin.gif

As for the Civic, its in good condition but still shit might happens if I'm suay. No respect also la if break down middle of highwah. Lol

Honda owners, izzit possible to check the car thoroughly at SC for any faults or huge parts that is nearing its replacement period?

The FC should be similar I guess. Inspira might be better with the CVT but we know can't expect super FC difference for a 2.0 (unless diesel biggrin.gif)

Many 2011 Inspira have 5 years warranty rite. Those with 3 years still can la depends on condition ~~~

The only car proton give 5 years warranty is PREVE ... un uhm un ah ??
Proton inspira .. no matter u buy new one second hand one .. face lift one .. buy from Perodua one ... buy from ur pakcik makcik .. buy from halfcut shop ... also 3 years warranty from the registration date only ... un uhm un ah ??

those 5 years inspira warranty is actually an insurance coverage .. 3 + 2 .. the 2 normally covers engine .. gearbox only .. annd when u go warranyt after 3 years.. u have to go through insurance to get approval and so on ..

OIC. now I get it bro. Thanks for the heads up. I remembered correctly that Proton did offer 5 years warranty and service during some limited dates. So this 5 years is actually 3+2 like you mentioned. cool2.gif

Thanks for your kind input bro. For new car, Vios and City is never my consideration. Fiesta is unfortunately too small and I'm not really fond at the 1.8 Inspira. Headache. tongue.gif

Thus I'm looking at the $ risk and maintenance factor for these second hand models.

And yes I'm a bit cheapskate too look for only 2nd hands tongue.gif

add bit more can get new car

ask nicely, not kids here

forte forum and naza kia website.

later only they introduced the 5 year warranty, but for the 5 year warranty, im not too sure of the duration.
*
The reason of my cynical question is because Naza has been giving the Forte 5 years warranty since end of 2010. I don't know from which forum did you get your information from, but don't spread your misunderstanding to others.

It should fulfil its tab as an everyday car, going and coming back from work without giving you a headache and the gadgets should keep your hands itchy in the cabin for a while. It is comfort car with low NVH, but change the tyre to a comfort one to further reduce the cabin noise. And with the 6-speed gearbox and 6 airbags (for 2.0), I think it's a steal compared to its asking price.

"forte is 2+1 years warranty. think bout it first."

This is what I see. Is there any hidden meaning that I'm supposed to find? Some code that I need to unlock before your real meaning can be deciphered? shakehead.gif

That is what most owners misund, even for the inspira, the 5 years warranty, it is just 3 manufacturers warranty and 2 more EWP.

The preve on the other hand gets 5 years manufacturers warranty.

isnt it the truth? or the truth hurts too much? rolleyes.gif
