Hi seller, I would like to purchase this caddy tray to place the original/ factory stock of 1TB HDD (Hard Disk Drive) at the BlueRay location. My laptop is Lenovo Ideapad Y580. Please advice what is the right size for the caddy tray and whether the external USB adapter can be used for the BlueRay. Please PM me the price. By the way, do you know whether the IdeaPad Y580 is using the 3.5 inch or 2.5 inche HDD???
Thanks in advance.

QUOTE(skycrawler @ Dec 25 2012, 12:06 AM) Hi, Lenovo Y580 uses 12.7mm SATA + 2.5" HDD. 3.5" HDD is for desktop only . U got PM btw Thanks for the fast reply. Just received your PM. Just asking, please advice whether the SATA on the caddy tray belongs to SATA 2.0 or SATA 3.0? I am concerned about the transfer speed. By the way, please advice whether the external USB adapter can work for BlueRay? THanks in advance.

HI - thanks alot for the reply. So sorry to bother you ....yet again.... I am planning to play Black Ops 2 on the BluRay . Just asking, after taking it out from the laptop and sticking it with the external USB adapter...will it affect the transfer speed from the BluRay optical device to the laptop? Or transfer speed will not be affected at all? By the way, do you sell external casing for the BluRay??? Once again...thank you so much for your insights.

Hi - about to place an order for caddy tray. However, want to ask you - my 2nd hard disk is a high performance hard disk (WD Black 7200 RPM). Hence, by placing this hard disk on the caddy tray, will it reduce the HD's performance? in terms of read and write speed? The main slot is taken by an SSD.

QUOTE(skycrawler @ Jun 22 2013, 07:20 PM) Hi, it will not affect the speed as the sata port on dvd port is same as primary drive port Ok. Confirmed with you by placing the WD Black (high performance WD) on the caddy tray will not affect the write and read speed of the Hard Disk. Am i right? Thanks for your help.
