Skycrawler,

I guess a Dell XPS 1647 with a slot-in DVD drive cannot use the 3rd party drive bay ?

----------
I have another laptop Dell XPS 1702x that may support a 2nd Hard drive.

I am just wondering if 60/64 GB SSD is enough for Windows 8 Pro. And not enough to even partition the 60/64 unless it is 120/128.

Most I install on C drive is MS office, acrobat reader. & some programs (< 500 mb)

When installing SSD on primary SATA bay, and mechanical HDD relegated to SATA caddy bay, how do u transfer / clone the HDD contents to the SSD ?

No need buy full SSD.
