I am using Leawo DVD ripper to rip movie episodes out and edit some scenes, and also to watch in my media player
would like to know how and what format of movie files should i choose in order for the movie to still be able to sync the sound perfectly and also for the movie to remain its clearness and quality?
as you know, after converting, sometimes the sound and movie doesn't sync and the movie quality will turn blur..
any suggestions?
Never heard of Leawo. I use handbrake. Never heard of audio-video synch problems when ripping from DVD.would like to know how and what format of movie files should i choose in order for the movie to still be able to sync the sound perfectly and also for the movie to remain its clearness and quality?

For the blur problem, choose a good codec, and don't set the compression rate too high. For DVD resolution, xvid / h264 at around 1200 kbps is good enough for me. With some videos with very sharp details, there is some "softening", but it's good enough for me. You could push the bitrate higher to get more detail.
For perfect quality, don't convert. Leave the video at mpeg2. Just backup the entire DVD. Use Nero to copy the entire DVD to a .nrg image file. Then mount it with something like Portable WinCDEmu for playback.
