just got my lumia 800 yesterday. came from android.

wanted to get 920 but too expensive, so just settle with this phone.

could anyone tell me the average battery life for this phone? i was expecting more, but not sure if it's the phone itself or what.

after full charge, it became 70% after 1 hour with app dl, surfing, data connection on etc.. is this normal?

btw, my firmware is .12070.

i have another problem here..my windows live id and xbox tag are registered in japan,
so when i setup my phone , the store became JP store, but i would like to
get a US store instead.

i changed the location in my windows live id personal info to US address, but i still get
a JP store.

anything can be done? i can read japanese but i JP store lack of apps..

creating a new live id with US region does solve the market issue but i couldn't get my
gamertag back .

just updated to 7.8, but there's no option to change the search engine from bing to google. anyone having the same problem?

Thats the problem. The default search provider setting isnt there. Saw on some video about 7.8 have this feature..maybe it's custom rom..

i'm having same issue too, phone can't be turn on, it's dead.. it has no problem at all before that..battery still got half..it won't charge and pc won't detect it, nothing.

Wow...i'm not sure if i can it replace like yours ...as i lost my receipt... Sigh...only have warranty card. But i'll try to call them ask if they willing to replace ...

I've sent my broken lumia which can't be turn on to nokia care at amcorp mall, now they called me said they can't fix it and want to return the phone to me without replacing a new one..what is this?

i should have the right to request a new phone if they can't fix it right?

Lol...i've called again and they then say they can replace me with lumia 900 since no more lumia 800, BUT my lumia 800 had a cracked screen when i sent to repair , and they say i need to pay for the lcd which cost rm800++... Ridiculous... I dont care having crack screen ..as long as they fix my phone which is totally dead.

I think you misunderstood. They agree to replace me with lumia 900. I was happy initially, but they said since my lumia 800 had a cracked screen, they want to charge me for that first, only give me lumia 900...they can't do this right? I was claiming for the 'could not be turn on' issue.. Now they refuse to replace me for free unless i pay for the screen first.

Yes. That's really odd , because the main issue was the phone was totally dead all of sudden..so by right they should replace me a new phone without condition..i rather ask them to crack the lumia 900 screen and just gimme the phone ... Or maybe i just repair my lumia 800 screen outside with cheaper price then send to them again to claim the warranty..
