guys, i'm thinking of switching to SIII because of unresolved issue with Nokia Care for the phone.

but before that, i would like to ask here, who knows u guys might know sumthing Nokia guys don't.

(sorry if it already asked before, the post is too much for me to read 1 by 1 and i'm running out of time, since there is a limited time offer for SIII)

1. file transfer via bluetooth; esp. the pictures taken by lumia 800, how to bluetooth to a person next to you using SII? Nokia guys said that i have to skydrive it first then let the receiver donlod it back. that's twice the job. they said this is because they want to avoid phone user from getting a virus via bluetooth transferring.

2. contacts synching without duplicating existing; i have 2 phone, 1 is Nokia E63 n since its qwerty type where i used for sms'ing. i oso always update my biz contact there, a dozen per week, bcoz easier to type (esp. while driving tongue.gif). the problem is when i want to update my contact in L800. i cant simply transfer contact because it will duplicate all my existing contact. is there a synching solution to let lumia update my contact rather than transfer.

3. email file attachment; i press attach but i can't find my excel file. all it shows is from my images folder. how to select my excel file to attach? and why is it when i forward an email with an attachment, my partner doesn't receive the attachment file? only the email.

any idea guys? PM me, dont juz post it here, i'm not always online here sad.gif

how come i've never got a good shot with L800? be it outdoor or indoor.
Aspire2006, any tips?

*on a personal note, I've bought S3 after a few fuss on L800 function restriction but haven't yet to take it out from the box.

guys, another thing that irks me and need immediate attention..
if u read the chat spoiler with microsoft tech that i included in the prev post, they suggested to first sync my E63 contact into outlook n then sync it to my hotmail contact.

the only free outlook i can think of is outlook express, n since it doesn't available for windows 7 anymore, replaced by windows mail, how to sync? anyone with experience?

if desktop windows got blue screen, i think my lumia 800 windows phone just got it after weeks haven't turned on; saying got a graphic error or sumthing.

i'm also opted to free upgraded to 25gb after i read the news from lowyat.net news.

while we on the live.com subject, can anyone tell me where is our contact list backup is on windows live?
i can't seem to find it even in hotmail contacts..

the list in my live.com contacts isn't as much as in my phone bcoz it contains only the 1 with email.and i didn'y use my lumia 800 now becoz of some limitation from it but i still wish to update it in my live.com bcoz i haven't given up on WP yet.
so u meant that i have to add in again manually in the contacts??


found the problem now, my lumia 800 actually haven't be able to synchronize with windows live since 4 month ago. giving error 86000108 when i try to sync. anyone having this prob before?

guys, i'm having problem syncing with my live account. error: 86000108

already googled: removed calendar, removed email sync..nothing seems to be working, how can i get my contacts to update to live account then?..or is there any way for me to transfer all contacts directly from lumia 800 to android?

hey, it's me again!

sumone knows how to exported out contacts from lumia 800 to another email?

i'm ending my favors in nokia, haven't been able to sync to my live account .my contacts info is 5 month behind which is 417 new contacts n 712 online information.. yes, i counted it 1 by 1.

i'll proceed on using blackberry and my old e63. summore just bought galaxy tab. but i need the contacts synced, not copying 1 by 1 the contact info..urghh. mad.gif


edited: just got off the phone with nokia cs, still not resolved. that's the 19th time they called; not including the voice msg they left me when i'm not answering vmad.gif they got a policy that; shud a problem get sent to level 3 technical, cs will call u every 24 hrs to update. shakehead.gif

i dissapointed oledi, using E63 is much more better. coupled with blackberry n galaxy tab. all is there. but first i need to manually copy my 417 contacts info.

my original contact is from my nokia E63; after transfer the contacts into Lumia 800, all the latest update were put into Lumia 800,i.e. new contacts, latest & additional information; in hoping for the ridiculous 1 way contact sync to actually sync to my live account. ofkos, lumia 800 is associated with live.com rather than google.but now when i try to manually sync last month it shows me that my data last sync is 4 month ago at that time, ofkos now its 5 month ago.

already googling for error 86000108 and already followed every so called solutions listed. still not working, have already live chat with nokia rep 4 times, receiving called from nokia asia 19th time and uncounted voice messaging. who can stay patience like that..

how does it affected? i'm a software engineer.and from my knowledge, that is not suppose to be affected by each other devices since they were proprietary to themself as the user set them. well, maybe my knowledge were so far behind then. although, my wp7 followed the date & time from my notebook. only maybe a few seconds lapse.

but the issues here is between the live account; u know, the 1 hosted by Microsoft MSN somewhere on the internet where it is hard to call them and ask what is the date & time currently on the server. biggrin.gif

I never bothered with Contact Transfer app in the first place, much less my Live account. All thanks to Google Contact. Besides, Google integration with Windows Phones are very good.

Try to export your contacts from Live to Google, and link your Lumia with Google rather than using live.

From my understanding, your problem is you cant sync your phone contacts TO Live right? Hmm, how about you
force an update by creating a dummy contact entry on live.com? And then manually sync your live account once again? Maybe the phone will "remember" to upload its informations again.

already transfer all data from e63 to curve 9320; now adding another 416 contacts into curve.

u r right on some of my new contacts wont be available, it's juz freaking 416 new contacts. and so far,only about 5 data i've been manually inputting it into my live account.

i've tried the 'forced update' u mentioned, heck, i've been keyin new contacts back into the live account, still no luck. nokia tech had called me last saturday, they did not find any solutions either and advice me to hard reset the phone and lose all my contacts.

this morning they left me a voice message,stating the same thing, still waiting for a response from their technical..

is there anyway to hack this thing and get my contacts by hook or by crook??

i even suggest to them that usually system developer leave a backdoor incase of sumthing like this but they didn't even have a clue bout it. rclxub.gif

but to mentioned that my problem might be occurred bcoz of the diff of the machines date & time is a bit far-fetched, if it is the reason, then MS have been beyond stup.

i've already install this app but didn't know how to use it; got stuck when it asked for server address, i've put multiple server, including my local UNIX(although it asked for IIS server), but still can't find the backup file.the process said 'success' though.

i now know the reason my l800 can't sync to live account. it's becoz the hotmail apps for the live id didn't exist or deleted, although, nokia claims the account used for ur phone id can't be deleted..so, how is this possible?

have to go to nokia center for a quick check up..

updating to OS 8773 version.. twice update in a row, juz now is 8117 or sumthing. straight away continue to 8773.


in hoping that this update will solve my prob with lumia 800, turns out not..

guys, i didn't have my l800 anymore coz of so many problem unsolved.

afterwards, i'm looking for w8 RT @ tablet; i.e. surface, any from dell, acer or hp.
is the apps the same with l800?
can i reinstall it back?
