My previous exp form WOrld of warcraft .
Battlenet is the world most tight security for games accout veritication , reclaim process etc.
Yes you can change to your email but you CANT NOT CHANGE THE NAME .
If anyhting happend to your accout . hack etc . even u report to Blizzard , u still need the IC/driving license to proof you are the original owner you will need the first owner IC/driving license sent to Blizzard in order to claim back your accout . which is hassles u may even forget who u buy form .
SO for those who want buy 2nd D3 with battlnet accout . Basicly u taking big risk. and good luck
thx

QUOTE(KilJim @ May 25 2012, 10:12 AM) Can't not change the name? Meaning you have to change the name? u can't change ur first name n last name unless u provide some documents like ur IC/driving license to Blizz for verification... so if kena hack and they need verification to recover ur account, u can't prove that it's yours if your documents doesn't show the name in the account... What he said is true. But when I red at forum the other day, some people stated that "Hey i didnt put my real name at BNet, can I change it?" and forumers replied to him saying that he can send a ticket to support providing legal papers like I/C to them. But still not sure if youre able to change it or not. Probably you cant when you kena hacked.

i had deal with blizzard help line 2 times when my fwen's WoW account was compromised about a year ago
they had asked few things from me to verify that I'm the 'legit' owner (in which, i'm not...) by requesting few items like answer to passphase, cd keys or few legal copy of your work id/ identification card to prove you are who you are
seeing such scenario, i would be wary of you to win the fight if you only provide cd key to them while your seller provide his id that matched the profile.
even if the person is putting fake information in bnet account, there is still potential risk of your account being hijacked by the original owner, when he is the one who created the bnet AND the email that attached to it.
certain mailing service provider have implement certain security behavior to let the original owner take control of that mail. you might have 'lost' the bnet account tug of war when he can abuse such email feature and claim back the mail, thus indirectly control the bnet account.

Genius way by blizzard to reduce second hand sales of their games (in which no money flows back to them).
