And that would practically involve some form of dual lands? Haha, im fine with cards going out of legality.

1. I am building it just to get back into things basically on game play, card interaction and rulings

2. Its a combo deck and it involves some level of difficulty meaning I will be able to grasp the more difficult workings of MTG in the future (hopefully)

3. Even if I become active in MTG, I'll join mostly Sealed tournies, pretty much what I do for VS System

well, i used to play mtg but quit i think a year or two ago...the last block i played was the onslaught block...haha!! at dat time, i had a cycling deck...btw, wut's the latest update for the mtg expansion ryte now?

Solar Flare... I really do not see the hype around this deck. All its major components can only start on turn 3. That's assuming that they have 2lands and a signet in their opening hand. So they can either Wrath or Persecute.

I have no idea why it became first. The only thing I can think of is that it punishes Tron and other control decks. I see no reason why Sea Stompy or any other GU aggro deck with Remands and Manaleaks can't win. Heck even Zoo can give it a run for its money. Orzof decks will also kill it with a turn 2 Castigate.

Am I missing something here?

PS: yeah I play apprentice, but still nothing beats reading the reactions of your opponents IRL
