i got a fren just bought it last tuesday is an SME set comes with DXLC2 firmware (gingerbread 2.3.6)
so i think unless u buy it 3 months from now maybe it will be preinstall with ice cream sandwich4.0.3 (DXLP9) but does it matter what firmware u r on if u r buying from SME as u can update to the latest FIRMWARE by either KIES/OTA

mind to let us know u r on what firmware?i assume is GB since u can boot up ur phone still..and u can check from ur settings>about phone>kernel version should have "abyys xxx version if i am not mistaken coz i have been on ics for quite sometime now.so basicly u wont find any icon of abyyss where u only manage to see cwm manager

well AFAIK alba is on ics so basicly u cant boot up after u flash abyyss kernel as its built for GB but u still can fullwipe ur rom thru recovery and u MUST flash / Restore a nandroid(ics) to boot up ur phone this is because of the so called unsafe kernel on ics that can cause hardbrick if u fullwipe using cf-kernel

just relax it should take like a few minutes...if more than 15 mins then take out battery for 10 sec and manually into recovery and clear cache and dalvik then reboot system

ok here are the steps
1)shut down phone
2)press and hold volume up+home button+power button (dont release any of the 3 button until u we r in 3e recovery)
3)clear cache n data-i assume 3e doesnt have clear dalvik)
4)reboot system after it was done(take note thAT wipe data will wipe all ur contacts/apps etc as u r setting up a phone as new)

u can full wipe using cwm recovery /stock recovery when u r on GB....but on ics u ONLY can FULLWIPE using abyss 4.2 b4 flashing an ics custom ROM/restore an ics nandroid

why did u flash ur rom twice?no need to flash rom again the second time just wipe dalvik n cache then reboot...when phone is booting up u will see a pop up saying "android is upgarding or something"

why in the world u need virtual home button for???its not like u use it very common..if u wanna exit a program just use the soft back button..lets just assume u r coming from ipong ..where everytime need to exit by pressing home button which is sux...lol...try to explore more by reading at least the small manual that comes with the phone...

go to google play and download an app called "smsbackuprestore" and back up ur sms-es after that u may factory reset ur phone after reset go back and download the app in play store and from there u know what to do rite?
