Mine is also the same as yours, N7000DXLP5. but my baseband changed to N7000DXLP5 once i flashed to Msia ics

That is baseband not firmware version. MSIAN firmware is LP9
I think he is confused between baseband n firmware
So if he already updated through kies his firmware should be lp9 already n no need update further using odin

You can set any tone in messaging settings itself
No need root to do such changes

weird... i also tio that screen when i was checking my phone, then i restart the phone... it was yesterday around 4.40pm

I Mean those that are transfered from my pc. I dont see my notification tones when i choose. It only shows default ones. I know phone ringtone works if i transfer it to my sd card but sms tone shows nothing..

Ok. Tonight i going to flash my note with the custom ics ROM... Sick with the crappy official ics... But, will it cause my note to brick?...

create a folder named "ringtones" inside your/media folder.throw all ringtones inside. or jz install tonepicker from playstore
